In the morning, kickstart your itinerary on your doorstep at Tretower Court and Castle and from there you can take a walk straight up Pen Cerrig-Calch Mountain around and down towards the castle at Crickhowell where there are ample shops, cafes and pubs and walk back along the Usk.
