Picturesque Thetford Forest begins 22.5 miles from your base and also makes a great family day out. Take a step up to enter the holiday haven and find yourselves in a light, airy reception hall, with an oak staircase and honey-coloured wooden floor.

Stroll through to the lovely lounge, where there is ample space for you all to gather to socialise or a watch DVD via the large TV and soundbar. Enjoy the abundance of natural light flooding in via the window in the former carriage entrance and light the wood burner in the brick fireplace when it is chilly.

The long kitchen/diner is also ideal for your group, with its impressive kitchen and breakfast bar at one end and large dining table at the other. A handy utility room, the family bathroom and one of your bedrooms, a king-size, with a TV and en-suite wet room, are also downstairs.

Make your way up to the floors above to find the rest of your gorgeous bedrooms, all also with their own TVs. Two more king-sizes and one super-king-size, each with an en-suite shower room, are on the first floor, while two twins andto a family shower room, are on the floor above.

National Horse Racing Museum - CB8 8JL
about 23 Miles
This is a museum with a difference and a must see if you are into horse racing.  You can take guided tours around the museum or choose to wander round yourself admiring the exhibits.  New for 2010 is a Junior Fun Tour which is ideal for children.  Simply ask the gallery staff for a Fun Tour pack when you enter the museum and kids can answer questions and spot clues and tips on the way round.  One of the most popular recent exhibitions is the Thoroughbred: State of the Art exhibition in Gallery 5 on until 31st October.  Check out their websites for the latest exhibitions.
Melsop Farm Park - NR20 3DT
about 28 Miles
We love this attraction in Scoulton, Norfolk with a great collection of animals.  Children and adults alike have the chance to get hands on with the animals in the special handling areas.  On rainy days there is always the indoor play area for the little ones and when it's time for a bite to eat the cafe on the farm is open all day selling drinks and snacks.  Hot food is available over lunch times.
