The property lies at the heart of Lavenham, a characterful village with a long history and a range of friendly independent shops, traditional pubs, charming restaurants and interesting galleries, with historic attractions including the Little Hall, Guildhall and the Crooked House.
Heading north, Bury St Edmunds (12 miles) has a rich history, with landmarks including the Hunter Gallery, Moyse's Hall Museum and the remains of the medieval abbey. To the south, Sudbury (6.5 miles) is home to Gainsborough's House, Borley Mill, and Brundon Water Mill and Millpond.
Other local attractions include Kentwell Hall, Melford Hall, Kersey Mill, Bradfield Woods National Nature Reserve and Baylham House Farm, all within 8.5 miles. A few steps lead up to the entrance and into the property, with a hallway leading through to the back of the house, where you will find the charming open-plan snug/kitchen/diner.
The snug has a wood burner and ample seating, perfect for having a chat while preparing a fantastic family meal. The central dining area is ideal for a family get-together, and the fully equipped kitchen is a pleasure to work in.
A door leads through to the characterful drawing room with further seating, another roaring wood burner and French doors leading out into the garden. The ground floor also features a bathroom.
To access the first bedroom, a spiral staircase leads up from the lounge to a mezzanine floor with a dressing area and super-king-size bed. Returning to the hallway, head up the main staircase where you will find a shower room and a choice of three bright and cheerful bedrooms.
