Moorview Lodge Reviews

Rebecca
A truly fabulous holiday thanks to the excellent hosts and incredible facilities available to use. 2 adults, 2 teenagers, an 8 year old and a dog had the best time at Moorview! The games room, swimming pool and hot tub was perfect to keep us all entertained in between local fun activities: from bike rides and high ropes in Dartmoor, to rockpooling and coastal walks at wembury. Special shout out to Karen who was amazing: the Halloween arts and crafts and the dog treats were a lovely touch!

We had a fantastic stay at Moorview Lodge last week. From the lodge itself, to the pool, gym, games room and hot-tub, the quality and cleanliness is faultless! We also couldnâ??t have asked for better communication from the owners - always on hand to answer questions and give recommendations - and they were just as lovely in person too! Thanks also for the amazing welcome pack - for us and the dogs! Great views from the hot-tub and incredible sunrises just added to the experience. Iâ??m sure weâ??ll be back, and we have no hesitation in recommending Moorview Lodge to anyone!

This is an excellent property in a good location. The owners were attentive and helpful. We really appreciated the welcome basket. The spec of the accommodation is very high and clearly a lot of thought had been given to this and ensuring visitors had everything they needed. We used the pool, gym and hot tub most days. We would definitely stay again.

We had a lovely break away at this holiday home, super clean and comfortable. The kids enjoyed the games room, pool and the hot tub. Very peaceful and nice views. Our fur baby loved his first holiday. The hamper was a very nice gesture from the owners We would highly recommend to anyone who is wanting a nice relaxing holiday ️

Moorview Lodge is perfectly appointed and very well kept. It felt like a home from home. A games room and access to a gym and pool were essential requirements for our stay and they didnâ??t disappoint. Itâ??s a very private location with beautiful views. Within easy reach of Plymouth, Tavistock and the coast. Would stay there again for sure.

I paid for my disabled Nephew and family to finally have a holiday all together. They really loved the villa, location, quietness, pool, hot tub and games room. They couldnâ??t fault it except for one small thing and thatâ??s my disabled nephew has a rather large wheelchair which fitted through the doors wonderfully but their en-suite toilet was a â??suspendedâ?? one which he didnâ??t dare use in case his weight caused a problem. A small thing really and was his problem due to being overweight. They thought Karen (I think thatâ??s what they said her name was) was absolutely lovely and couldnâ??t do enough for them. I personally want to thank you for this, their first family holiday (as money it rather tight for them) and Karina would move in there tomorrow if she could.

Fabulous lodge, well maintained and very clean with great facilities. We will return. The owners are very attentive and responsive without you knowing theyâ??re there! We had a great holiday!

This is the second time we ve stayed at this property within the last 3 months, and as always we love staying here, the owners are great,itâ??s perfect for everything, beautiful surrounding countryside, easy access, not far from Plymouth itself.

5 nights spent here with two teenagers and a dog. Perfect, reliable wifi, lovely big tv, hot tub and of course the table tennis/pool table, access to the gym and pool and retro games machine. Both kids completely happy! Best place we've ever stayed with a dog by an absolute mile.. Great little fenced clean 'wee' and exercise area with access to the field for walks. Secure deck. Whole place spotless and smelled beautiful, you wouldn't know dogs had stayed. I particularly like that it's a bungalow where the dog can roam freely- when we've stayed in houses where he wasn't allowed upstairs it just caused all of us pendless stress. Because he's 'allowed' in the bedrooms and had seen where we were, he actually was quite happy sleeping shut in the living room knowing we were in the next room. Frankly, if the dog and kids are happy that's a 10/10 from us! Thanks, Karen. Great host.
Simon
Excellent accommodation with everything you could possibly need, extremely clean and kitted out to a very high standard. A lot of thought had been put into our welcome gifts and Karen was very helpful throughout our stay, would definitely book again
Deborah
This property was an amazing find it had everything we required, two couples and 3 dogs, on our arrival we were greeted with a lovely hamper, fresh eggs and most importantly to me my 3 dogs had 3 beds, 3 blankets, 3 drying towels, 3 feeding bowls and water bowls, poo bags and even their very own safe toilet space this really made my day, thank you, the swimming pool was beautiful we used it every day, as we did with the hot tub. The owners were lovely, very friendly and welcoming. What a little gem
David

I have stayed in many places in the uk and also abroad and I would say it is just as good as a 5star hotel with the cleanliness throughout. The style throughout is also beautiful and a really nice fire which kept us toasty our whole stay! We were even offered fresh eggs which weâ??ve never had from anywhere else. I took my daughter who is 3 and it is usually really hard to keep her occupied but to our surprise when we got there there was a play kitchen, train set and some drawing so she was very happy playing the whole time which gave us the chance to relax and enjoy! The hot tub early mornings were our favourite we got to see deer running along and the breathtaking views. We will be booking again and have already recommended to our friends, thank you for making our stay so amazing
Nick
We really loved our stay Moorview Lodge. The place is stunning and has been finished to a high standard. It ticked all the boxes for us with the fire, the view and the wide range of activities for the kids including pool table, arcade machine and use of an indoor pool. Karen is a great host and made sure we were well looked after during our stay. Highly recommend.
