Henhouse Farm Reviews

Robert
Henhouse Farm is an ideal location for group of family or friends that would like to relax in a well furbished, spacious, private, traditional property surrounded by fields and woodland and nature with beautiful views. Without trying we heard the woodpeckers and saw hares, rabbits, squirrels, birds of prey, deer and cattle.
Incredible place, photos didn't do it justice! Definitely a wow on arrival. So peaceful and stunning views with lots of wildlife including deer, rabbits, hares and birds of prey. House was immaculately clean and so much attention to detail! Nothing to complain about. We didn't want to come home and will be returning.
We enjoyed our stay at Henhouse Farm for a family birthday celebration. The bedrooms and bathrooms were very clean and modern. The bedding and towels were good quality and very clean. The farm track into the property had areas of deep potholes in places that you could not avoid. The outside furniture and bbq was limited, dated, dirty and disappointing, and the main kitchen crockery was rather mismatched overall and did not have enough of certain items to cater for our party. Overall the wildlife, weather and peaceful setting helped makeup for the negatives mentioned in this posting.

Beautiful property, up a private road, beautiful views as on top of a hill. Two mile walk to the pub, friendly staff with good pub food and beer. Also 20minute walk to Queenswood Country Parkopposite direction to pub with a great Parkrun and cafe. Not comment below For owners we could not find a tea pot and a large pan for pasta would have been good.

Amazing house, with loads of room and beautifully furnished. Near to Bodenham village and not far from Leominster which is worth visiting and Hereford if you want a big town. The property is on a completely private plot of land a few fields from the owners working farm. You really are undisturbed here. And its surrounded by forestry, fields and nature with Deer roaming free nearby. The cottage also has a separate annex with the hot tub, and a bedroom and kitchen. One of our group slept here and thought it was really cosy . Only nitpick would be no single beds at the property only doubles but other than that we had a great time and couldnt fault any of the features. Welcome pack lovely touch aswell.
We had a lovely family party for 3 nights and were fortunate with the weather after recent abnormal rainfall or is it normal now? The setting and remoteness was much appreciated as was the wood burner and hot tub. Only moved the car for Sunday lunch at the England Gate and enjoyed the local walks despite the mud. Particularly loved the green oak conservatory but the whole place is a great place to be. One set of single beds instead of all doubles would have been useful
Wow, what a beautiful property, with outstanding views. This made our family Christmas weekend away just perfect.

Wow! This house, its location, the amenities. .its just dreamy! There were few niggles but we have passed those on separately as doesnt & shouldnt reflect the overall amazingness of this house! Large yet cosy, decorated modern & with class. Just a vibe & more we brought our 6 month old puppy & she was in her element miles of natures playground and sticks!. We booked again for next year whilst we were there! If you want a retreat with only deer, pheasants & owls as your neighbours with the added bonus of a hot tub book it! Thank you for a wonderful weekend!
We loved the house. It was beautiful. Everything was lovely, spotlessly clean and everything you need for a lovely break away. One slight concern, the 5th bedroom is in the outdoor barn it was only 6 degrees in the bedroom only a small heater which did not heat up the room until Sunday afternoon then it only got to 16 degrees. It was freezing which meant that we had to double up in the house which has 4 bedrooms. If you are going to list the house as 5 bedrooms you need to ensure the 5th bedroom in the outside barn is warm. Only 1 nights worth of logs to put on the fire and we had to ask for more. The hot tub was amazing
Lovely house. Amazing, isolated location. Wonderfull wildlife, deer in garden! Super walks for the dogs. Great hot tub.
Nine of us had a fantastic time here. The property is spotlessly clean, well equipped and very comfortable. The surrounding area is stunning we saw buzzards, six deer and hares. Sitting in the hot tub at the end of the day looking at the wonderful view was a highlight. Would highly recommend.
We had a lovely time at Henhouse Farm. Beautiful location and facilities very comfortable house and plenty of space for all of us. The house functioned well however we would suggest as it accommodates 10 people that a few more large dishes for serving and large oven trays for cooking would be appropriate. Also entrance not brilliant for less able people.
I booked this for a family get together. It is set in the most beautiful location and once there you didn't want to leave. It had everything you would need. The rooms and bathrooms were truly lovely. Cannot recommend highly enough.
Fantastic property Super clean and comfortable Loads of space for everybody Loved the laundry room Masses of space for parking Amazing countryside Wonderful bathrooms Gorgeous kitchen with massive food prep area Only one suggestion would be to check out the wifi , maybe just the remote location but couldnt seem to really get any .
We thought the property was excellent. It was well maintained to a high standard and the setting and views were fantastic. We were lucky that we enjoyed sunshine all week. I think the track leading to the house may have presented some problems if the weather had been wet. Overall we all enjoyed our stay very much.

This property was beautiful. We had the most amazing time here, there are so many lovely places to go out walking and some nice pubs around. The views from the cottage can not be overstated, I honestly could have stood outside looking across the countryside for hours. The property is very secluded which we loved as it felt like we had left the world behind.
Catherine
Excellent property, so clean and well presented with super surroundings and space for 10 adults. More mugs and water tumbler glasses would be perfect. Definitely the best propertyholiday weve had recently.
Lovely house surrounded by nature. Our only neighbours were the deer, foxes and pheasants that passed right through the garden. Red Kites above the house. Felt exclusive coming up the long drive. Great decor. All rooms are a good size. Top quality decor. Good friendly local pub with good food. We walked to the Queens Aboretum which is great and the Chatsworth Court House is a pleasant walk to the bottom of the hill.
Elizabeth
All absolutely beautiful, we had a wonderful stay. Our daughter in law said it was the best bed that shes ever slept in. It was very well equipped, with a very nice welcome pack! Great crisps and apple juice, amongst other things. Just a couple of suggestions about the kitchen. I couldnt find a tray. The mugs too small really and another water jug would be good. It was freezing in the annex bedroom when we arrived and even though we put the heater on we were freezing on the first night sleeping in our dressing gowns and socks. Everything was so wonderful that we wouldnt like to advise that as a complaint but it was an error! I had to wash the dishes by hand on the last evening as the dishwasher had a fault. We showed this to the cleaner. One glass had a chip in it so we put it to one side. Thank you, we would love to return!
Alison
Absolutely fabulous property , couldnt fault it at all. Very clean, spacious & everything provided. All bedrooms en suite . The house was beautifully decorated. Lovely quiet location for a group who want to relax & enjoy each others company. The Hot tub was amazing & with a one bedroom annex attached. We lost an item when we left & the management team of the house were really helpful in finding it & returning to us. Thank you.
