After long rambles, enjoy some food and drink in the village pub just over 300 metres away, or stop in nearby Rearsby (1 mile) for a wider choice of eateries and a village store. For a busier day, the city of Leicester (10 miles) beckons with its wealth of attractions, including the National Space Centre, the King Richard III Visitor Centre, and Leicester Museum and Art Gallery.

More city adventures await in historic Nottingham (20 miles). For less hustle and bustle, peaceful days amongst nature await at Watermead Country Park or Rutland Water Country Park (both within 21 miles).

At the end of each day, head up to the first floor to choose between two restful bedrooms: a master super-king-size room, which converts to a twin on request, and a twin bedroom that converts to a super-king-size on request.
