We really enjoyed our stay at Oaklea Cottage. The peaceful surroundings, lovely views from the gardenand easy access from the A1 made it a perfect spot to explore Sedgefield and beyond!

We had an amazing time staying here for our honeymoon! The location is perfect, just a quick 4-minute walk to quirky cafes, shopsand pubs. Hardwick's only a few minutes away too. Judith, the owner, was super helpful and gave us great tips about the area. The cottage itself was spacious, spotlessand really cosy - loved the private hot tub, already lit for us. It felt so homely, we'd move in tomorrow if we could! We'll definitely be back.

The beds are super comfyand there's plenty of space for our family. We know the area well, with lots to do nearby. This is a recommended day out for families with young children visiting the Bedale area of Yorkshire. Visit the farm and receive a warm welcome as well as a guided tour. You will have the chance to bottle feed the lambs, bath a pig and handle some of the smaller animals. Kids will love the big sandpit and the outdoor play area. There is also a cafe and indoor play area for when the weather is not on your side.
