Biddlestone Farmhouse Reviews

Lee
Fantastic property, furnished and equipped to the highest standard. Plenty of room so that even larger parties would have adequate space to spread out. Our three dogs loved the garden, large grass area and lots of nooks and crannies for them to explore but all enclosed so that we werenâ??t concerned about them getting out. Spoke to Tony the host on a couple of occasions, really nice chap who was very helpful. The only negative thought I have upon leaving is that I do not own this property, I could easily see myself living out my days here taking in the views and enjoying this characterful property.

The cottage is very beautiful, the space was perfect for a family getaway. The hosts went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable and helped to resolve issues quickly. The farm track was alittle bumpy however once we knew where we were going it was easy to get around and local amenities were helpful.
Kim
We stayed at the house for 3 nights to celebrate a family birthday. 6 adults, 4 children and 3 dogs and we couldnâ??t have asked for more. It was perfect. The hosts were very accommodating and the house was beautifully prepared and warm for our arrival. The house is beautiful and the surroundings lovely. Very well equipped with lovely quality furniture, crockery, linens etc. All the beds were extremely comfortable and the main bedrooms very spacious. The location is a little remote but ideal for those who love the outdoors and walking/hiking. The enclosed garden was a fantastic for the dogs and children who had a great time exploring and playing. We would definitely recommend this property for a large group.
Roger
The cottage was excellent, and also the location, if a little isolated. Everyone loved the break which covered age range 6yrs to 92yrs. Thankyou.

Teresa
A terrific base for an inter-generational holiday. Lovely comfortable beds, very well appointed kitchen, and a brilliant garden which was well contained for children and dogs. All this and the luxury of such a big hot tub. Surrounded by very peaceful countryside.
Jane
This was a fantastic holiday home, everything you could ever need for your stay. Very clean and plenty of room for everyone. The outside was great for kids and a beautiful garden too. Very peaceful but not too far away from things to do and see.
Tracy
An exceptionally comfortable cottage in a stunning location. The equipment and furnishings provided are far batter than in most other places we have stayed, and the fact that dogs are welcomed makes it a real home from home. I have no hesitation in recommending this property and we will definitely book this property again. It is quiet and peaceful, the views from the property are stunning and the farm animals in the surrounding fields are a joy to see. The only thing I would like to mention is that the farm track to the property is an unmade road and some vehicles may find this difficult to negotiate due to the bumps and hollows.
Kirstie
Beautiful peaceful location & cottage with everything you could need, perfect for our family of 7, plenty of space. Gorgeous gardens - a wonderful relaxing stay

Cragside House and Gardens - NE65 7PX
about 7 Miles
Cragside House and Gardens (National Trust) are a popular Northumberland attraction with a beautiful stately home and gorgeous grounds to explore. The rhododendron labyrinth is a unique and fun addition to the grounds and there is also an adventure playground where children can let of steam. It is the stunning scenery that attracts most of the visitors though with many bringing a picnic for a relaxing family day out. The house itself hosts exhibits which change regularly. World of the Water Wizard is currently on display.
Alnwick Castle and Gardens - NE66 1NQ
about 13 Miles
Alnwick Castle and Gardens today are perhaps best known for their roles as Hogwarts in Harry Potter movies but have for many years been a family favourite attraction in Northumberland. The beautiful medieval castle is open to the public and during school holidays and at Christmas and Halloween a range of activities can be enjoyed including Santa's Workshop, a Pumpkin Parade, Spell Making Lessons and Owl and Bird of Prey Flying.
Kielder Water Bird of Prey Centre - NE48 1BT
about 22 Miles
Housing the most fascinating collection of Birds of Prey in the North East this centre is definitely worth a visit if you are staying in the Kielder Water area. Located in Falstone it's easy to get to and makes a great day out for both families and couples.  As well as seeing the amazing birds you can learn all about the captive breeding programme and the excellent work being done there.  Some of the highlights of the day might include watching a Falcon stoop down from the skies at over 100mph and admiring the grace of the Eagles, Kites and Hawks.
Go Ape Northumberland - NE48 1NT
about 23 Miles
Go Ape! has really taken off and become one of the most popular attractions in the UK.  The Northumberland course is set in the stunning grounds of Matfin Hall.  Described as a high wire forest adventure this really is one for the more daring as the course takes place right up in the tree tops.  Giant tree top obstacle courses include ladders, bridges, tunnels and some of the country's best zip lines.  You will be provided with all safety equipment and training on site.
Conundrum Farm - EX5 3AQ
about 29 Miles
With easy access from the A1 this lovely farm just north of Berwick makes a fantastic family day out.  Follow the farm trail and meet an array of friendly farm animals.  Kids will also enjoy the indoor and outdoor play areas, pet barn and tractor circuit.  The admission fee is excellent value and you will get a free bag of food for the animals and a bag of fish food for the trouts in the fish pond. When you want a bite to eat, the licensed restaurant is the place to go with quality home cooking and a charming location in some of the converted farm buildings.
