About Korys Cabin

This tranquil shepherd’s hut set within natural woodland on a wonderfully scenic rural farm is perfect for couples and families looking to relax and explore Northumberland’s magnificent countryside and coastline. This scenic spot at the heart of the Northumbrian countryside is a haven for anyone looking to reconnect with the great outdoors, surrounded by woodland and wildflowers.

The historic market town of Morpeth, 8 miles away, is home to quaint, cobbled streets lined with a wonderful range of shops and places to eat, as well as quirky farmers’ markets. Spanning a 7-mile stretch of stunning coastline, Druridge Bay, 5.5 miles away, offers a sanctuary for scenic walks, birdwatching and anyone looking to soak up some fresh sea air.

The waterfront town of Amble (9 miles) at the mouth of the River Coquet is perfectly placed for exploring the whole of the Northumberland Coast National Landscape. Step up onto the deck and through the glass stable-style door of this quirky bolthole, bursting with charm and character, to be greeted with a bright and airy open-plan layout.

Splendid, exposed ceiling beams and wooden cladding throughout add a sense of heritage and country cottage appeal, whilst the feature wood burner and plush soft furnishings create a cosy, inviting ambience. Stretch out with a good book or listen to the radio from the comfort of the plush sofa, which is perfectly positioned to enjoy plenty of natural light from the glass doors.

On a fine evening, throw open the glass doors to the furnished deck to make the most of indoor/outdoor living. The sofa can also be converted into a pull-out double bed to cater for two children if required.

The wooden-clad kitchen embraces a stunning, traditional country cottage style finish that’ll capture your imagination and inspire you to rustle up something tasty that can be enjoyed at the dining table. When the evening draws to a close, the king-size bed beckons, perfectly positioned in front of a delightful picture window with wooden shutters, providing lovely views overlooking the meadow to wake up to.

Go Ape! has really taken off and become one of the most popular attractions in the UK.  The Northumberland course is set in the stunning grounds of Matfin Hall.  Described as a high wire forest adventure this really is one for the more daring as the course takes place right up in the tree tops.  Giant tree top obstacle courses include ladders, bridges, tunnels and some of the country's best zip lines.  You will be provided with all safety equipment and training on site.
