Pipistrelle Reviews

Wonderful property, photos on website dont do it justice. We were two adults and one dog but had another couple and their dog stay with us for one night. Perfect for a holiday with dogs. Short walk to the beach and coastal walks from the door. Well fenced, although people next door to us were concerned about their dog scrambling over the fence to ours and might not keep in smaller dogs. The hot tub cover gave some privacy when open but as soon as it is closed any privacy is gone. Would be nice to have a higher fence along the patio area. The casserole dish was cracked, so we telephoned the maintenance company and a new one was promptly delivered. We also asked for a large saucepan, which again was delivered within the hour. Very efficient service. Overall, the property was amazing, didnt want to leave!
Amazing location right by the beach and near to holy island, Alnwick and Bamburgh. Cottage very clean with all amenities you'd need and a lovely welcome pack on arrival. We are looking forward to returning. Thanks
Claire
Comments about the dishwasher being too small, true, but not a lot can be done about it, so either bring more tablets or your marigolds. No issues with hot tub, was perfect for our 4 night stay, thus was our 3 rd time to this area and if we come again, we would stay here. Only issue was that we couldnt get the to to connect to the internet on tv
Bedrooms and bathrooms clean but lounge very dusty! Very limited utensils in kitchen. E.g. No small kitchen knife, no corkscrew, only 4 dishwasher tablets provided but this needed to go on every day to ensure we had enough cutlery etc for the next day. There was 4 of us and we felt the lounge would be cramped for 6! We paid 200 extra for the hot tub which was very cool one day and the next not hot at all so we couldnt use it. I made 3 calls to the maintenance number in the brochure but no one ever got back to me. A very expensive property which we felt did not meet our expectations.

Lovely property with great views of budle bay,the welcome pack was one off the best with not only treats for our Dog but a toy as well which was a nice surprise. The only downside is the approach to the property which is a bit like a dirt track with a few pot holes which when you are paying quite a bit of money it's a bit annoying. The property it's self is great and would go again.

Fabulous cottage, couldn't believe how near it was to the beach. Welcome hamper was a nice surprise as it wasn't advertised. We did bring items that wasn't needed as no definitive list of items provided. Bathrooms nice and clean but bath tap wasn't working so just used shower. Would definitely come back again.

Two things 1 Not enough cutlery if 6 people staying 2 The dishwasher is ridiculously smallnarrow and has to be put on at least twice a day given that there is plenty of space, why not take out the neighbouring cupboard and put in a normal size dishwasher.

A lovely cottage which met everyone's expectations very clean and well appointed with everything we needed. There was plenty of hot water and good showers in all the bathrooms. The welcome pack was a lovely addition. The close proximity to the quiet beach was fantastic and the secure garden area meant that we could sit out and absorb the views of Lindisfarne in privacy. The only down side was the lack of any sign where to turn off the main road drove past a couple of times before finding the little turn off and the rough track driving to the cottage itself.
Fab property, would and have recommended it to friends and family. Love the property and its location, you cannot beat that sea view. Fantastic long walks on the beach every day, plus its near other attractions too. Loved that it was dog friendly too. We will definately return.
We had the best weekend, didn&rsquot want to come home. Everything was of an excellent standard and the setting of the property is simply stunning. As others have said, this property really does live up to the photos and definitely did not disappoint. Early morning strolls along the beach with not a soul in sight was simply bliss. Can not wait to return!
It is rare for us to stay in a properly that is actually better than the website detail. This one did!
Brilliant holiday home in outstanding location. Everything we needed, but most importantly it had very comfortable beds and great bathroomsshowers. We will definitely book again.
Well situated for the village of Bamburgh and within walking distance on the coastal path 1. 5 miles. Beach within 300 metres. Views of Holy Island and the sea. Excellent family accommodation.
Excellent standard of accommodation. The place was absolutely spotless and well equipped. Views across Budle Bay and beyond are amazing.

With easy access from the A1 this lovely farm just north of Berwick makes a fantastic family day out.  Follow the farm trail and meet an array of friendly farm animals.  Kids will also enjoy the indoor and outdoor play areas, pet barn and tractor circuit.  The admission fee is excellent value and you will get a free bag of food for the animals and a bag of fish food for the trouts in the fish pond. When you want a bite to eat, the licensed restaurant is the place to go with quality home cooking and a charming location in some of the converted farm buildings.
Cragside House and Gardens - NE65 7PX

Cragside House and Gardens (National Trust) are a popular Northumberland attraction with a beautiful stately home and gorgeous grounds to explore. The rhododendron labyrinth is a unique and fun addition to the grounds and there is also an adventure playground where children can let of steam. It is the stunning scenery that attracts most of the visitors though with many bringing a picnic for a relaxing family day out. The house itself hosts exhibits which change regularly. World of the Water Wizard is currently on display.
