The Grange Reviews

Ashley
Overall the house was amazing the only thing which was a issue was how dirty the hot tub got after the jets was on. We coulsnt let kids in it as it was really dirty and looked like skin was floating on top off water other then that was brilliant
Michael
Our party of 17, including 9 children, had a fantastic long weekend at The Grange in Flamborough. It was everything we were hoping for. We're planning to visit again next year!
Joanne
We had an excellent holiday. It was an excellent house for a family get together and we all enjoyed ourselves. Would definitely come back. The only points I would make are Bathrooms require some maintenance Some clarity on where to park for each house
This is a fabulous property for a large group. There was 15 of us celebrating a family members 50th birthday over easter weekend with a childrenteens and adults. The facilities were brill especially for cooking and eating as a large group. The garden is amazing and HUGE!. We would really recommend this house for a group stay.
Nicola
As mentioned in pheasantry feedback. ,Aslight issue when some lights tripped but very quickly fixed by maintenance team also bed in main bedroom very comfortable a very lovely stay pool table a good addition and hot tub we'll used as was.large garden by the dogs
Charlotte
Lovely winter stay. Great spot for a gathering. Kitchen area is very impressive and the under floor heating was enjoyed by all.
The house was lovely The beds were comfy, there was everything you needed in the kitchen. Sat around the big table in the kitchen chatting and playing games. Soap and body was in bathrooms was great. Treats for both dogs was a lovely touch. The hot tub was used the most and the pool table. Great location for Bridlington, Scarborough and Filey Would definitely go again and would recommend it for a big group get together
I would definitely recommend The Grange, plenty of room for our party of 12 plus 4 dogs, very comfortable in every way. However, I feel a couple of things could be addressed, a security light was pointed directly at one of the bedrooms and disturbed the nights sleep. Also I feel the garden ought to be fenced so as to let the dogs have some freedom first and last thing. Also, I think having a mid sized saucepan would be helpful, as there was either a small one or very big one, and the were no scissors, minor details, but worth a mention Maybe looking to the future an electric car charging point would be beneficial

Absolutely beautiful, clean and well equipped. Garden is huge and perfect for friends or families to share. We loved the hot tub. Must say the pics dont do it justice! Little maintenance issue that was swiftly dealt with. I hoover or at least a soft brush would be useful and it definitely needs downstairs toilet , there so much space! Lovely stay and highly recommended!

Lovely property. Great garden.Well equipped. It was superficially clean, areas of the house needed a deep cleaning. The carpets were stained and the stair carpet is loose. The paintwork is chipped and dirty and the wallpaper particularly in the hallway and stairs is very grubby. The oven shelves were covered in burnt on food as were the baking tins. The kitchen smells of oily food because of this. One of the wardrobes is broken, at the bottom .

Huge kitchen table brilliantly perfect for our family gathering. Pool table exceedingly popular .Hot tub enjoyed by all. Extensive lawns perfect for dog walks and play areas Downstairs bedroom poor wardrobe facility. Recovery of a left item after the holiday dealt with very efficiently by Danielle, for which were are very grateful
Lovely big property with great rooms and facilities, it's also close to beaches and the coastal path. The large garden needs fencing to make it petchild safe especially as locals seem to think a public footpath runs through the lawn, a fence would stop them. It would also benefit from some nice outdoor furniture to sit out. The hot tub was wonderful on an evening.
The property fully met our expectations. There was ample room for a large number of people and the additional features such as the large garden, hot tub and pool table were very much used and appreciated. The large kitchen and eating area provided a great focal point for everyone to gather together. The avaliability of two living rooms was also appreciated as the kids could watch what they wanted in one room and adults could use the other room for reading and watching TV. We were blessed with good weather and took full advantage of the footpaths from the house to the coast and the viillage of Flamborough. Great enviroment for dogs too! We had a wonderful holiday and would definitely want to come back in the future.
Wi Fi connection failed and could not find the router to reboot Also very minor point, only 2 tea towels available for 14 people staying a few more would should be available to allow time to wash and dry dirty ones. Overall though a great property Also great service from the Sykes Holiday staff.
We had a great stay celebrating a family birthday. House and garden are lovely. The perfect size. Thank you so much.
Alison
Thank you for our stay we had an incredible time. The house is beautifully decorated and had all the facilities we needed to make our stay perfect. It's clean and comfortable and the owners are lovely. I've shown my dad and he would like to come for his 70th birthday!
Great House, Great Location, The Cleanliness let it down the kitchen and bathrooms were not 5 star rated, We hadn't anticipated having to wash Pans and dishes before cooking.
Sophie
Thank you Jacki and her family for letting a large group of us 15 in total hold our annual festivities at The Grange! It was beautifully decorated from the moment we arrived, the jacuzzi and pool table were brilliant additions to our relaxing weekend. The bedrooms are all super modern and beautifully equipped for a lovely stay and plenty of rest. Any problems that we had we were able to get assistance very quickly from the maintenance team and we had everything we needed to cook our Christmas dinner! Stunning location, peaceful and only a short drive to the coast for some even fresher air if you want it. Thanks again to Jacki for hosting our very large friendfamily!
Lovely house in perfect location for accessing the coast and the many wonderful coves and sights in this area. The house is spacious and modern with great amenities. The beds were very comfy and the bedding was to die for, all guests commented that the bedding was so nice and soft, clean and of good quality. Owners were attentive and on hand via WhatsApp if we needed! I rated 4 on cleanliness as we found a mouldy banana in a drawer, a full cooked pizza in the oven and a whole tray of baked jacket potatoes that had been cooked and left in there, so assuming no one Checked the cooking appliances. The hot tub also had lots of bits in it, and there wasnt a net to clear it. But the rest of the facilities were really clean and tidy. The only real negative its not really negative but the only comment from all guests about this whole property is a lack of bathrooms, there were 4 double bedrooms upstairs without ensuite so only one bathroom toilet for those rooms 8 people, and no toilet downstairs apart from in the downstairs bedroom, so not accessible to others who arent sleeping in there. This caused some queuing for morning bathroom requirements and meant we were all a bit late out for our planned daytime activities. The 10am check out is quite early for such a large house with so many people in, especially when check in is 4pm, but as long as everyone gets organised the night before its not so bad, just a rush on a Sunday morning and no one wanted to get out of those comfy beds so early, plus the bathroom queues also made this a stretch! Maybe if there was an option to pay extra for late checkout at 12 this would have eliminated this. If this was an option we would 100 have paid this. I would have liked to have hoovered up, put the towels in the washer etc for the cleaners stripped the beds etc but there just wasnt time. On the whole this is a really nice characterful property with a stunning kitchendiner which is perfect for large family gatherings. 2 living rooms so kids in one and those seeking peace in the other! The views are lovely, garden is huge and location is perfect. We had an amazing time for a special occasion weekend and all guests said they would book again. If we were there for a week, we may have struggled with just the one fridge for all of us 15 of us but the bathroom situation would have been sorted with a timetable or routine if we were there longer. Oh, almost forgot, this property is super child friendly with toys, colouring table, outdoor toys, TVs and even pottys!

As well as mighty sharks and beautiful rays guests can get up close to some more common creatures including star fish and can also meet the otters, seals and penguins at feeding time.
