To see the sights of the national park, you can pay a visit to Pickering (10 miles) and hop aboard the North Yorkshire Moors Steam Railway to soak up the scenery in comfort come rain or shine. Warmed by the underfloor heating, the open-plan living room/kitchen/diner is a warm and welcoming space with light pouring in through the floor-to-ceiling sliding doors overlooking the surrounding farmland.

The living room area is cosy with exposed beams overhead and exposed bricks throughout. A large corner sofa ensures space for all the family to gather around for a film, whilst the dining table is perfect for feasts and board games.

The chef of the group will be thrilled with the sociable kitchen set-up, which features a range of muted colours and ample preparation space. From the hall, you can access the three en-suite bedrooms, each of which has been decorated with its own style, with modern feature walls and comfortable beds.

For flexibility, they have all been furnished with super-king-size zip-and-link beds which can be made up as twins upon request. Outside, the garden is generously sized with plenty of lawn space for garden games, as well as a patio where you can sit and soak up the scenery.

Nearby Kirkbymoorside (3 miles) is a lovely local town with a weekly market and a great range of eateries, as well as a fantastic golf club. To the north, you’ll find the Wainstones (22 miles), a dramatic rocky outcrop with fantastic walks in the local area proving popular with rock climbers.
