Great time, great house and great weather. Many thanks

The house is so much better than in the picture. It has everything you need for a comfort stay. The terrace has gorgeous views for the sunset. The house is walkable to the village with plenty of restaurants and things to do and see. Hiking trail starts right outside the house. Jacuzzi was fantastic and located further up the hill behind the house with gorgeous lake views. We stayed with 2 years old child and she really enjoyed walking around the house up and down the steps. It is safely secured with stairs gates and has baby cot and high chair. Welcome basket with local produces was amazing thank you for having us!

Amazing property! Has everything you need and ticks so many boxes for a group stay nice and spacious with a bathroom for every bedroom, has a hot tub with incredible views and is in a great location, just a short walk to pubs and shops. Simon is a fantastic host who had good communication with us. This was my second time here and wouldn't hesitate to come back again. Highly recommend to anyone wanting to stay in Bowness!

Simon's place is fabulous. Luxurious, with everything you could need. Such a short walk into Bowness but so peaceful too, and those views! We had the best family short break and didn't want to leave. Simon was a great host, start to finish.
The pictures do not do this location the justice it deserves! Perfect house for 8 of us to celebrate three 50th Birthdays. A short walk into Bowness with lots to see and do, if walking though be mindful there are some inclines back up! The hot tub view was amazing and an added bonus to this house. Simon was a very attentive host, answered very quick to any queries in the lead up and also during our stay. All in all a fab long weekend, great house and location. Would definitely recommend!
A great house for a great break in the Lakes. 10 The property is in a great location, just a 10 minute walk from the centre of Bowness. There is a great view from the property looking out across the lake. The view is even better from the summer house hot tub. The rooms were all spacious, wellequipped and very clean. The property worked extremely well for our party with an age range of 7 to 60 and a dog. I would highly recommend a stay at Brantlea.
A fabulous multigenerational family holiday in a perfect location in a beautiful house. Outstanding property, exceptional views. The accommodation was perfect for our family of 5. Plenty of together space for sitting or dining while plenty of space for everyone to get some peace. Simply stunning views from the hot tub. Easy walk to Bowness but very quiet and peaceful area. Unbeatable, frankly. For us it would be difficult to improve.

I can't speak highly enough about our stay at Brantlea! The communication upon booking was fantastic and that continued right through until we checked out. The property itself was stunning, by far the best property I have stayed in, you then add in the cleanliness, modernness and overall homeliness ofthe house, everything was just perfect! The lovely welcome pack too was a really nice touch too and you can tell real thought had been put into this! The location was a perfect balance of peace and quiet, whilst being conveniently close to local restaurants, shops, and anything you may need. If you're looking to stay here, I couldn't recommend it highly enough!

Simon was an exceptional host. The accommodation was spotless, comfortable, and exactly as described. Simon s local recommendations enhanced our trip restaurant, and their prompt communication made everything seamless. Highly recommend staying here
We booked Simon's place for a family weekend to celebrate my Dad's 70th. It was the perfect home from home for us, but with added luxury! It's a beautiful house with everything you need to enjoy your stay. Board games, kitchen utensils, plenty of towels every last detail had been thought of, and didn't go unnoticed. Simon was flexible with checkin, and we were fortunate to meet him when we were leaving, to thank him for an amazing stay. The pictures don't quite do it justice it's a stunning property, ideal location and views to die for. Won't hesitate to stay again. We got balloons delivered from a nearby company, and a supermarket shop delivery too. My nephews are 5 and 7, and my parents turning 70 we all loved it even the dog who's not quite 1! Book it you'll not regret it!
Brantlea is a beautiful spacious high standard property with lovely views. It is clean and warm with everything you need for a comfortable stay, and is just 10 mins walk to Bowness and the lakefront. The owner Simon was friendly and helpful and he kindly accommodated us with our arrival times. There was a lovely welcome pack waiting for us on our arrival and also a useful manual was left which had all the info we needed. We had a fabulous stay and would highly recommend! Thank you Simon

Great location, accommodation was super clean and tidy. Lots of space, dog friendly and amazing views. We had the most amazing relaxing stay. The hot tub at the end of a long walk looking out over Windermere was absolutely perfect. Great location for a number of walks and ten minute walk into Bowness. Photos don't do it justice.

One of the best houses weve rented! The quality of finish to the rooms and interior was excellent. Everything was very clean and the facilities were well thought to make our stay as comfortable as possible and a home from home. A lovely welcome hamper made a great start to the stay and a visit from Simon the owner to show us around the house on our arrival was thoughtful. Great location as well!

Excellent property, very clean and comfortable, has everything you would need and more. Close to the town. Owner very friendly and helpful.
Absolutely found a perfect property with this one. The 5 reviews were all spot on. The property was immaculate through out, clean, clutter free, rooms all beautifully decorated, fully equipped kitchen. Both our children have additional needs and severe sensory requirements, this property met all their needs and they have in fact stated that this was their favourite property that they have stayed in. I honestly can not rate this property high enough. We will certainly be rebooking.

Rydal Mount & Gardens - LA22 9LU
about 6 Miles
Rydal Mount & Gardens are wonderfully situated between Lake Windermere and Rydal Water offering breathtaking scenery. The home of William Wordsworth from 1813 - 1850 the grand home is now lived in by the poets descendents but parts of the house and grounds are open to the public. Why not take a guided tour and see the rooms where many of the famous poems were written. The gardens are beautiful at all times of the year but in the summer offer a spectacular display of colour. There is also a gallery and a tearoom. Discounts are available for group bookings.
Ullswater Steamers - CA11 0US
about 12 Miles
This is an award winning Lake District attraction and they have been operating cruisers on Lake Ullswater for over 150 years.  There is no better way to explore the lakes than on water and you could even combine a cruise with a spectacular walk.  For great days out in this region then this attraction is highly recommended and will appeal to couples as well as families.  Corporate groups are also well catered for.
Lakeland Wildlife Oasis - LA6 1JH
about 13 Miles
Located in the Milnthorpe area of Cumbria we love this local attraction.  With an eclectic mix of fascinating wildlife and hands on displays this centre is educational as well as fun.  You can wander around at leisure admiring the exhibits which range from chameleons to computers. Some of the most threatened species are kept at the park as part if international breeding programmes.  Check out their website for the latest opening times and admission costs which are great value for money.  There are discounts for pre-booked parties of 12 or more.
South Lakes Safari Zoo - LA12 0LU
about 16 Miles

This is an amazing Cumbria attraction well known locally as well as nationally for how close you can get to the animals.  Described as the most interactive animal park in Europe it's well worth a visit if you are staying in the area.  Open from April to end October some of the highlights are the tigers, penguins, bears, hippos and rhinos.  At 2pm during certain seasons it's feeding time so don't forget to plan your day around this so you can watch the animals enjoying their feed.  Look out for seasonal events such as Halloween Zoo Boo (free entry for kids in fancy dress) and The Magic of Christmas.

Happy Mount Park - LA4 5AQ
about 19 Miles
Happy Mount Park has attractions for the whole family including several play areas, a miniature railway, crazy golf, putting green and trampolines, there is also a paddling pool where the little ones can splash around in the summer and a café where the adults can relax with a drink. During the summer months and especially during school holidays live music can often be enjoyed.
Lake District Wildlife Park - CA12 4RD
about 25 Miles
We love this day out in Cumbria where you're encouraged to "take a fresh look".  Some of the amazing animals you will get to see include the only Canadian Lynx in the UK and you will have the opportunity to help their Lynx Conservation Project.  The Asian Fishing Cat is also well worth a look - these cats are known for diving under the water and catching fish!  Other activities include fantastic flying displays and play areas for the little ones...
