First time staying at Stag Lodges and WOW from the site to the lodges more like executive caravans to the pub at the top of the path, we had an amazing stay, clean, comfortable, bed was amazing, hot tub great, surroundings amazing, what more can you ask for, we drove into Whitby and Robin Hood Bay, about 15 mins drive, we eat at the pub every day, so nice. We are looking to book again in September
Second stay at Stag lodges. This time we stayed at Magnolia, the year before we stayed in Juniper. Magnolia had the advantage of being able to see across beautiful open countryside and a view of Whitby Abbey! Saw a deer, hares and rabbits. We had a great time.
We had the most wonderful stay at Magnolia Lodge ,it was very clean and spacious,it was situated in a lovely quiet area We was looking to book again for September but that week is already booked up. Will definately return again the views were lovely .
Absolutely lovely and peaceful. Could really live here. Caroline was really nice in helping me extend our holiday. From Stag Lodge's.
Lovely accommodation, spotless, well located in a quiet but convenient location 1 mile from the centre of Whitby. Easy to jump onto road out of Whitby to visit other towns in the area, and very short walk to excellent pub. Great value for money for this quality lodge, with excellent hot tub a real bonus

Really lovely lodge and great Pub & Restaurant in walking distance. The Lodge was located at the end of a track which was quite private. The layout was really nice, the only thing I would mention is there was no hoover in the property and staying for 3 nights I'd have liked to have a hoover. But really lovely lodge
Absolutely fantastic lodge, lovely clean nice warm on arrival, the whole site ... Absolutely fantastic lodge, lovely clean nice warm on arrival, the whole site was very impressive spotless, definitely will be booking again,

Very disappointed accommodation was not a lodge of any kind i have stayed in in the last 15 yrs . But a large caravan with plastic wood cladding. Couldn't cook any food untill we washed pans etc as frying pan had burnt food stuck on it as did the chopping board . Couldn't believe accommodation with cream carpets and corner unit when they knew we were bringing 2 dogs this lead to a stressful week as worried about , this is why we book lodges for wooden flooring . On a positive note the actual grounds were lovely and well kept . Speaking to another couple staying there they had complained about everything I mentioned and the answer was to be given a free meal so by this time I knew it was not worth complaining. So no we wont be back .
The lodge was absolutely beautiful. The location is brilliant and the views were amazing. Really modern and clean. We almost cancelled due to a sudden bereavement in the family but decided still to go as it was our summer family holiday and didnt want to upset the kids even more. It was such a great choice to go as it was so peaceful and relaxing. WiFi was good so I could still do emails etc for funeral arrangements etc. there was only a couple of really minor things that would have been good to have and that was a clothes airer to put wet clothes and towels and a cheese grater in the kitchen. We will 100 be staying again as we feel we have found our happy place. Really was just what we needed.

Great stay but the toilet door handle in the main bedroom was loose. Also the bracket on the window in the living room was loose & the internet kept on dropping out.I tried resetting it but we just had to wait.Sometimes it took two hours to reconnect. We paid a lot of money for three nights so the internet needs addressing.
We had a fantastic stay at the Magnolia lodge. It was perfectly clean and comfortable with excellent modern interior. It was very peaceful and quiet, perfect for a few days rest and relaxation. Hot tub and outdoor area was fantastic too. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, thankyou!
Great lodge in a quiet location with amazing views.
Lovely lodge, and in a nice quiet location. Easy access to the park and Ride, and The Stables restaurant. Initially had a problem with the door not locking, due to the warm weather, but after a phone call, maintenance arrived and solved the problem Suggestions bring salt and pepper, had to buy a set, and left them, hopefully next person will get use of them. Also no oven gloves, so you might want to pack . Also if you like to hang your clothes up, there are only 3 coat hangers in two wardrobes. Bed was comfy though. Sneaton castle, 10 min walk away, does lovely meals and is dog friendly in the bar. Definitely recommend a visit. Bed was very comfy,
Magnolia lodge was the perfect place to stay. It's very near to Whitby . The Lodge has everything you need in it. It was spotlessly clean . The beds were very comfy and the rooms were spacious. It had an added bonus of a hot tub on the veranda

This was our second visit and it was just as enjoyable as the first one. The lodge was immaculately clean and comfortable just as before,we had a great holiday,it would be great if you were to provide some cleaning products, sprays etc so we could keep the surfaces in tip top condition. A wonderful time was had by all.
Andrew
The lodge was spacious and clean , had all you needed cooking facilities. The hot tub was good and the decking all fenced in was good for our dog to go in and out, so yes it was a nice lodge.
Such a fabulous lodge. Clean and spacious with great views and location is ideal would definitely highly recommend.

Absolutely beautiful place very clean grounds kept well it was absolutely spotless. It is a little peace of treasured heave, in a lovely place just outside Whitby which is a beautiful town. The only 1 thing I would say but not a massive issue, plastic glasses for hot tuboutside. We loved it and would recommend to anyone!
Duncan
What a superb place,so clean and comfortable and with great views, couldn't fault it,we will definitely return. I would suggest you provide some cleaning products so we can keep the place as spotless as we found it, also a hoover would be useful to make it easy to pick any bits up, but a great time was had by us all, see you next time
Loved it great location lodge is spot on hot tub great . Its handy have park and ride across the road for Getting to and from Whitby pub next door was good too would definitely recommend and will be returning no negatives
Pamela
We had a wonderful stay in Magnolia Lodge. The lodge is new, still smells brand new and is spotless. The fact that we can take our 2 small dogs and stay in somewhere so clean home from home is perfect for us. Its a fabulous size, with everything you need. Its placed in a quiet corner of the site with wonderful views, from the decking of Whitby Abbey to the rear and the Yorkshire Moors to the side. Theres a hot tub too! You can walk across the site to The Stables for great food and drink. Whitby and Sandsend are a short drive away. We cant fault it and will return!!
Superb hot tub lodge we looked to extend our stay before our holiday was over. We left a wee note to suggest a few additions we were among the first to stay here, but I cannot recommend this beautiful place enough.

The Grainary Wildlife Farm - YO25 3HS
about 10 Miles
Located in Harwood Dale Village, North Yorkshire we think this attraction makes a superb family day out and couples will also enjoy the nature walks in the area.  There are 6 nature walks in total surrounding the farm so walkers and lovers of the outdoors will be in their element. Some of our favourite walks include the Spring Flowers, Pond and Village walk which takes around 35 minutes, and the Meadow and Trees walk which takes one hour.
Scarborough Sea Life and Marine Sanctuary - YO12 6RP
about 15 Miles
If you are enjoying a lodge break in the Yorkshire Moors and Coast then a day trip to the Scarborough Sea Life and Marine Sanctuary highly recommended. This centre is one of the regions most popular attractions and is educational as well as fun. Visitors will enjoy a journey beneath the waves, meeting many strange, beautiful and fascinating creatures of the deep. As well as mighty sharks and beautiful rays guests can get up close to some more common creatures including star fish and can also meet the otters, seals and penguins at feeding time. The site also has children's play area and picnic tables as well as a restaurant and souvenir shop. Family tickets cost £46.80 but the Tourist Information Centres in Scarborough, Whitby or Filey often offer fantastic discounts.
Sea Life Marine Sanctuary - YO12 6RP
about 15 Miles
Located in the Scalby Mills area of Scarborough this makes a fun family day out for those who are interested in marine life. The fantastic ocean tank is well worth seeing - it's been transformed into a Turtle Reef and you can see an amazing array of colourful reef fish and coral. You may also catch a glimpse of the tropical sharks and turtles. Offering good value for money this is a day out with a difference and an all weather attraction.
Peasholm Park - YO12 6QQ
about 16 Miles
This attraction is ideal for sunny days as the beautiful park is ideal for wandering out and taking in the scenery.  You can hire boats including rowing boats and canoes to enjoy the views from the water.  The pedalos with the dragon heads are always a popular choice too. Look out for special events including the Battle of Peasholm Park Naval Battle which has been described as a "must see".  You can also take a ride on the North Bay Railway which will delight children.
Betton Farm Visitor Centre - TF9 3PS
about 17 Miles
Betton Farm Visitor Centre is the ideal attraction close to the North Yorkshire coastal town of Scarborough. This animal farm has all the cute farm animals you would expect to see and will appeal to younger children especially.  A great place to both play and learn we think the Betton Farm Visitor centre is great value for money.  Check out their website for the latest opening times and admission costs.  Some of the highlights of the day might include meeting Sofie the Shetland Pony and Henry the goat, as well as the pot bellied pigs called Porky and Hammy.
Flamingo Land - YO60 7EW
about 19 Miles
Situated in Malton in North Yorkshire this has to be one of our favourite family days out.  It's a theme park and zoo all in one stretching over a massive 400 acres. With thrilling rides for the very daring like Cliff Hanger, Corkscrew and Kumali, there are also more gentle rides for the little ones such as Frog Hopper and Helitoys.  Family fun attractions include the 4D cinema, the lost river ride and the Little Monsters Den of Mischief. Check out their website for seasonal events which take place throughout the year and you can also gain more information about the zoo.  Flamingo Land is a resort as well as a theme park so you can also book accommodation there.
Castle Howard - YO60 7DA
about 26 Miles
Castle Howard is one of the regions most beautiful and historic landmarks and is located in 1,000 acres of parkland with breathtaking gardens to explore. As well as exploring the castle visitors can enjoy attractios including the unique Land Train - the best way to see the entire park. There is also a large lake offering boat trips during the summer months. In high season the site is very popular with families and offers organised activities for children including tours, talks, crafting and animal encounters. The site also has a Nature Trail which is fun for the whole family and an Adventure Playground where children can run off some energy.
