A sumptuous Scandinavian-style lodge, this sizeable retreat is ideal for lovers of the great outdoors. Nestled within Loch Lomond and the Trossachs National Park, the three-bedroom cottage sleeps six guests, with an option for two more on a sofa bed.
Situated 1.5 miles from the village of Drymen, it is 7 miles from bustling Balloch on the southern shores of Loch Lomond. Here you will find shops and eateries, as well as the Sea Life Loch Lomond Aquarium.
While you are here, hop on a lake cruise or hire your own motor boat to take to the water. Head out from the lodge to explore the surrounding area on foot or by bike.
Cycles can also be hired in Balloch. Take the children on a trip to Blair Drummond Safari Park, 20 miles away, and plan a day out in the vibrant city of Glasgow, 17 miles from your base.
Take in the leafy green surroundings of the site before heading up the ramp and into the striking wooden lodge. At ground-floor level, the accommodation centres on a generous, open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner, with doors that can be pulled back onto the covered patio during the warmer months.
Head over to the fitted kitchen area to put the kettle on for a cup of tea to enjoy with a slice of Scottish shortbread. Carry your snack over to the table, where you can also sit down to hearty feasts, or the plump leather seating, where you can congregate for family games or make plans for the following day.
The kitchen is well designed to ensure you have everything you require to assist you in your culinary creations. Two of your inviting bedrooms, a twin and one of your king-sizes, are also downstairs, together with the family bathroom.
