About Dalmore

Set on an 86-acre country estate and surrounded by the Scottish Borders’ dramatic landscapes, this welcoming lodge with endless walks from the doorstep offers couples and small families a truly relaxing holiday base. The peaceful nearby hamlet of Cavers offers a lovely escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life, surrounded by rolling farmland and a myriad of tracks and trails to explore on foot or two wheels.

Famous as the heart of Scotland's cashmere and knitwear industry, Hawick (2.5 miles) is home to the Borders Textile Towerhouse which delves into the region's weaving history, while Wilton Lodge Park (3.5 miles) offers beautiful gardens, riverside walks, and a museum showcasing regional art and history. For more local appeal, the picturesque villages of Denholm and Bonchester Bridge are both within 5 miles of the property.

Hang your coats and kick off shoes in the entrance hall before heading into the light and airy, open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner at the heart of this home-away-from-home. Featuring a bold colour palette that reflects the vibrancy of your surrounding scenery, as well as plenty of homely touches, this light-filled social space is bursting with elegance.

Cook up group feasts in the well-appointed kitchen, then gather at the wooden dining table to plan tomorrow’s adventures over dinner. Unwind in the lounge space afterwards; sink into the plush sofas and find your favourite films on the Smart TV.

Here, on chilly days, flick on the coal-effect electric fire to keeps things toasty, while on warmer days you can swing open the bi-fold doors to the decking and let the countryside air flow through. When it’s time to call it a night, walk past the handy utility room and choose from two restful bedrooms, both of which are king-size – one boasts an en-suite shower room, the other is served by the family bathroom with a free-standing bath.
