The Tottie Hut Reviews

Jamie
We had a lovely stay in this cosy shepherd's hut! Perfectly situated for exploring South Queensferry, Edinburghand beyond, with easy access to major roads. The walks around Dundas Castle Estate are stunning and great for a bit of fresh air. Watching the horses and riders on the busy yard was quite fun too. The secure garden was a big plus for our dogand the hut itself is well-equipped and nicely presented. Definitely a spot we'd return to!
Sam
We had a lovely stay at The Tottie Hut. The private garden is a real highlight - fully enclosed and perfect for our dog to roam safely. The cabin itself is cosy, warmand well-equipped with everything we needed, from the fridge to the small TV. The peaceful location made it a perfect escapeand all the staff we met were super friendly and helpful. They even created a WhatsApp group so we could get quick answers to any questions, which was a great touch. Definitely recommend!

Smoo Cave - IV27 4QB
about 10 Miles
Smoo Cave is a popular attraction which can be enjoyed all year round but visitors should wrap up warm during the winter months.  This spectacular limestone sea-cave in Sutherland is the largest in Britain and is simply spectacular. The cave was formed by a burn that runs down into the rear chamber, as well as erosion caused by the sea. Guests can take the path from the car park which runs right through the cave. Boat trips are available in the summer months and are an excellent way to fully appreciate the cave from all angles.
Kailzie Gardens - EH45 9HT
about 26 Miles
Kailzie Gardens are another popular attraction and are an excellent place for a day out in the summertime. The gardens are a peaceful and colourful place to spend the day with a wide variety of flora and fauna on display. Other attractions here include live viewing of the Tweed Valley ospreys, a Gift Shop where children can pick up a souvenir, a Tearoom serving tasty local produce and home cooked meals, a Children's Corner, Putting Green, and a gorgeous private 2½ mile stretch on the River Tweed where visitors can enjoy Fly Fishing and a Picnic Area.
M&D's Scotland's Theme Park - ML1 3RT
about 26 Miles
M&D's, Scotland's Family Theme Park is a "must do" day out if you are in the Strathclyde region. The fun attraction is set within 20 acres of beautiful Country Park and offers rides, shows and activities for the whole family to enjoy. Besides the outdoor rides the site is also home to Amazonia - Scotland's only indoor Tropical Rainforest where visitors can meet loads of exotic animals. There is also a large indoor soft play area and an amazing glow in the dark bowling alley, so plenty to do if the weather is bad. During December Scotland's largest Grotto with animated Christmas scenes can also be enjoyed.
