The Bolthole Reviews

Mark
Great space had a lovely time. Great if you have dog.
Terry
Lovely cottage, well designed layout, great location with an enclosed garden area that was perfect for the doggie. Hot tub was great too. One if the best stays we've had in 20+ years of renting cottages.
Kim
The Bolthole is in a beautiful area of the Kent countryside. It had everything we needed, and more, for a relaxing and comfortable stay with our dog. The garden is securely fenced all round. Lovely owners, friendly and helpful, but not intrusive. We hope to return.
Robert
Well thought out accommodation in a fantastic quiet location, excellent for a getaway or short break. The owners are really helpful and on hand if needed, very dog friendly and nearby walks, pubs and plenty of places to visit.
Laura
Absolutely lovely break. Itâ??s clear Andrew takes pride in the property and cares very much that you have everything you need/want. Very clean and great thoughtful details like an outside warm tap for washing the dog. Very enjoyable stay, thank you!
Denise
Lodge and location were perfect, we loved our brief stay!
Julia
Fantastic location; very quiet. We stayed at the Bolthole which has a nice corner plot on the edge of fields that gives wide-ranging views. The hot tub was excellent. Customer service was great from Andrew and Heather. When we mentioned a trolley would be handy to take luggage and food shop from car park to hut, one appeared the very next day. What service! The recommendations for pubs was so helpful and we loved the Three Chimneys for posh nosh on a special occasion and the Bell for the beer garden.
Tony
A great quiet, comfortable and secluded location

Booked to stay in the bolt hole for a few days to celebrate getting married. It was absolutely amazing the attention to detail the owners have taken blew us away. The kitchen has everything you can think of everywhere was spotless. Location is beautiful. Would highly recommend and will definitely be booking again for the future. Just wish we could have stayed longer

Absolutely incredible place to stay. Both owners of Plush Huts are very welcoming, and nothing was too much trouble if we had a query. We stayed in the Bolthole which we struggled to fault in anyway. Even the bathroom has under floor heating! Everything was included in the cabin right up to a milk throther for fancy coffees. As for the dog friendly promise, that couldn't have been more true. We have been on a few dog friendly cabins but this one is 100% better than all of them. Very dog secure with proper fencing, dog towels, blankets and even dog beds incuded. Have no doubts when i say your dog will be absolutely safe here. The welcome pack was a great addition as well as an immaculately clean hot tub. Myself and my fiancée are already talking about coming back again. Highly recommended! Thank you for a lovely stay x

The lodge is in a beautiful location, with floor to ceiling windows, surrounded by fields making it a very relaxing experience. The lodge itself is well equipped and maintained with plenty of cooking utensils and accessories, charging points for phones and towels provided, including separate hot tub towels. We arrived to a lovely hamper with bread, milk, eggs, home made jam, butter, crisps and dog treats. It is very dog friendly with dog towels, a blanket and even a dog bed if needed and the lodge is enclosed so that the dog cannot get out. The hot tub was well positioned in the grounds and added to the experience of our weekend. The hosts were extremely hospitable and helpful during our weekend, we would definitely re-book. There are a number of pubs in close proximity, we walked to The Three Chimney's twice and booked a roast dinner which was fantastic. The lodge is well located for visits to local vineyards.

Very well appointed â??plush hutâ? in a tranquil location. The Bolthole was clean, warm and perfectly comfortable for our two night stay during a very frosty January weekend. We really appreciated the welcome pack and being able to choose the bread and milk within it. Also it must be stated that this is truly dog friendly accommodation: not just dog tolerant. Towels and blankets were provided just for her as well as treats. Really wonderful experience. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Loved our stay at the Bolthole, it was very cosy and warm. Lovely secure garden for a smaller dog, hot tub was very impressive with fountains. Lots of extra amenities which are very much appreciated. Location was amazing perfect for a relaxing holiday. Highly recommend The Three Chimneys, very good local pub we had a delicious sunday roast. Ashford designer outlet is also a good day out. Owners were very friendly and attentive, overall a lovely holiday in Kent.

We have just returned from an incredible stay at The Bolthole. The hosts were wonderful and answered all questions promptly, nothing was too much trouble. The hut was spotless, and the welcome basket was such a lovely personal touch. Everything has been thought of. There is so much to see and do and so many lovely pubs and restaurants to explore. Three Chimneys was charming, with a great menu to sample. The hot tub was a wonderful addition to make the most of the tranquil evenings. A lovely long weekend was had, we will definitely be returning to sample the other huts on offer. Thank you for a lovely stay.
Julie

We had a lovely break at the Bolthole. The cottage was well equipped and very comfortable, the dog loved the enclosed garden and the hot tub was a real bonus. The owner was very helpful too. We would thoroughly recommend it!
Ruth
The Bolthole was very comfortable, warm & well equipped. A lot of thought has gone into the place, shown by all the special little touches, especially in the kitchen & bathroom. This was our first holiday as dog owners so we didnâ??t know what to expect, but everything our pup needed, we had at hand. Thank you for giving us a wonderful week.
Linda
What a lovely place to stay. Could not fault it. Will definitely be going back. The owners should be very proud of what they have achieved a complete relaxing place to stay.
Jan
Wonderful, host Andrew was lovely & very informative, area was was beautiful. The bolthole has everything that you need, bed was very comfy, hot tub was fabulous. We loved our week away, very relaxing chilled week, with a couple of short car journeys to a beach so our labrador Buddy could have a long run-around, he loved the beach & loved chasing rabbits at the bolthole. ( he never caught one) :) had few lovely walks in local woods too.
