10 Faraway Fields Reviews

Great location and amazing views when its not foggy its lovely and private with your own little garden, decking and hot tub too. It is a lovely set out inside, we took our 6 month old, we just had to set out blankets on the floor so it was soft for him to play and roll about. Lovely rooms, we used the 2 spare rooms for out clothes, separate bath and toilet and another shower with a toilet too. Everything you need in the kitchen too. However I did need to clean a few pots before using them, which didn't matter but I do think everything should be cleaned fully before the next person comes in. I cleaned around the kitchen and tables and my cloths were dirty. Headboard edge was thick of dust. Hot tub was lovely but everytime they came to check it, they left it undone and open slightly. Seemed to not care as much as when we last came a few years ago. The bed mattress seemed to go to one side. The decking could do with a sweep too as it looks untidy when you first go in and look outside. This is our 5th time in a different lodge each time. So even though there is always little bits we do still keep coming back to Southern Halt. Its peaceful and relaxing.

Southern Halt 10 Faraway Fields Cornwall near Looe, brilliant location. June 2026 We really enjoyed our stay at Southern Halt. We spent the week here for my mother in laws 70th birthday. We picked a great week too with the weather being glorious. The place itself is beautiful where the lodges are, staff are friendly and they went above and beyond with a delivery we got sent there for the mother in laws 70th birthday cake. Thank you Sally and team 10 Faraway Fields The lodge itself was beautiful. Great size, perfect for families. Nice touch with the jacuzzi! The surroundings of the lodge is beautiful, great views and well looked after area to sit and view around you. The lodge has good size rooms, bathrooms and living area. Great kitchen full of everything you need. The only thing we would of liked is more than 1 fan especially with the heat we had just for future families Thank you for our stay and help

Having stayed on three occasions at Stonerush lakes this area was for me way better. Access was much easier no narrow lanes to access properties and extremely easy to navigate to and from. We loved no 10 faraway fields very private but on occasions thought we were back home as there were some yappy dogs close by. Accomodation was lovely had to go out and buy a frying pan as the one we would have used the most needs replacing, but didn't bother us. As a Carpenter I was a bit picky about some of the kitchen base units that do need some attention, basically levelling up Its me just being picky as I am a bit of a perfectionist sorry. But overall 100 satisfied and hopefully if I am not called for my other knee replacement WE WILL be back next year, and hope to the same property if available.

Amazing location, amazing views, amazing lodge. Clean, well equipped. Being over picky the outside furniture is tired and needs replacing.

Amazing lodge! Beautiful views! Beds were really comfy. The lodge had everything you would need. Loved the little welcome pack as I'm not organised and didn't think about washing up! My son even made a friend a duck that visited us every night! Would highly recommend to all my family and friends.

The company contacted us to let us know the hot tub in our lodge was broken, but moved us to another lodge so that we could fully enjoy our stay. They were so helpful and wanting for the stay to be enjoyed. The lodge was beautiful. We my partner and two small children all loved it. Only suggestion would be to let guests know to bring plastic glasses for outsidethe hot tub, a mat for the back door for when you come in from the tub and a pair of scissors in the cutlery drawer!! still a 1010 experience, just thought the above feedback could be useful!
The lodge was fantastic and couldnt fault it apart from the water pressure which sounds quite minor but took its toll through the stay. The lodge has great fittings and many kitchen utensils you would need. The water pressure from the showers was so weak, especially the ensuite, meant that the showers were cold as there wasnt much water to cover you and my wife couldnt rinse out conditioner from her long hair so would have to do it from the taps in the sink which wasnt ideal. If the water pressure was sorted it would have got 5 out of 5! It was slightly annoying as we had seen previous reviews stating the same with a response saying the maintenance team will take care of it and it is clearly an ongoing issue still that needs resolving.
We loved our time at 10 Faraway Fields, the lodge was well equipped with everything we needed, the beds were also comfortable. The only thing that I could say needed improving was the water pressure, it was so poor that couldnt clear the soapy water from the bottom of the shower which made it extremely slippery. A minor irritation but would definitely book this lodge again.
The cottage is beautiful. The photos on the website do not do it justice. We will definitely be going back.
The water pressure needs to be sorted as a bit too weak for shower and bathes, but we made do. I think a benefit would be to have charging points for cars and to charge a small cost, will be something I will be looking for when booking a place. Cornwall's charging points are sporadic and very expensive.
