Tintagel Haven Beach, a mile away, in the shadow of Tintagel Castle, is the ideal spot for exploring Merlin’s Cave. From here, the iconic South West Coast Path gives walkers some of the best cliff-top views in Cornwall.

A traditional bucket and spade day can be found at the sandy shores of Bossiney Cove (1.5 miles) and Trebarwith Beach (2.5 miles). Pick up some fabulous local produce and enjoy the sights of fishermen bringing in the catch of the day in Port Isaac, 10 miles away.

Situated on the stunning Cornish Coast the Castle has a mystical and magical presence and is steeped in historical importance. Indeed the Legend of King Arthur was born right here. The Castle and grounds also provide a home for many species of wildlife as well as some amazing flora and fauna. The site also has a small visitor's centre with souvenir shop and a wonderful Beach Café.

Open from end March to end October this is a lovely attraction suited to families with kids of all ages.  You don't need to worry about the weather either as this is an all weather attraction with the addition of soft play areas and a ball pool for the little ones.  Some of the highlights include the Bull Pen indoor play area, the Raging Bulls Ride, Pat-aPet and the Mini tractors.  Of course there is also the opportunity to get up close to the farm animals and try some bottle feeding.
