The ground floor centres on a kitchen/diner/lounge which flow together under rugged beams and offer lovely views across the garden, all with the luxury of underfloor heating. The pretty lounge has a soaring ceiling and a selection of comfortable seating, inviting quiet times with a book, while the adjacent dining area is a comfortable spot for shared mealtimes.

The kitchen is a gourmet delight, including a Lacanche cooker, a microwave and a dishwasher. This space opens onto the terrace for sunlit, al fresco dining.

Another feature of this open-plan space is a double-sided wood burner, on the other side of which is a spacious TV room. For guests who need to catch up with admin while away, a separate study with a desk, sofa and garden access provides a quite spot, and there are two ground-floor WCs, as well as a shower room off the study and a utility room with laundry facilities.

Dairyland Farm World - TR8 5AA

Open from end March to end October this is a lovely attraction suited to families with kids of all ages.  You don't need to worry about the weather either as this is an all weather attraction with the addition of soft play areas and a ball pool for the little ones.  Some of the highlights include the Bull Pen indoor play area, the Raging Bulls Ride, Pat-aPet and the Mini tractors.  Of course there is also the opportunity to get up close to the farm animals and try some bottle feeding.

The Eden Project is a fantastic local attraction in Cornwall which will appeal to families and couples.  From the moment you step through the entrance it's clear that this is no ordinary attraction.  All under one roof you will find a giant rainforest, Horticulture courses, rock climbing, ice skating and an arts cafe.  Not all of these activities are on at one time, they are staggered throughout the year so check out the website to see what's available when you plan to visit.  Autumn at Eden is very popular with events such as daily apple pressing and Time Changing Tales (story telling with an autumn theme).
