Lower Roselath House Reviews

Emily
We loved staying here! The house had everything we needed and was in such a peaceful spot. Everyone on the farm was really friendly and made us feel right at home. Ending the day in the hot tub and then relaxing by the log fire was just perfect after exploring Cornwall. We didn’t want to leave and hope to come back soon!
Emma
This was our fourth visitand honestly, the cottage just keeps hitting the spot. The location is spot-on, with The Crown nearby and quick trips to Polkerris and Fowey. Our dogs adore the gardenand we’re all sad to leave!
Emma
What a lovely spot! We loved chilling in the bright, breezy conservatory and exploring the dog-friendly garden - it’s really well maintained. We got lucky with the fishing, catching a couple of mid-sized tench and a hefty 9lb common carp after a bit of pre-baiting. The calves were adorableand we enjoyed meeting nine of them! The nearby pub, The Crown Inn, is a five-minute drive and serves a cracking meal. Just a heads up, some of the lanes are a bit narrow, so take your time. Overall, a brilliant holiday hideaway!
Sam
Beautiful peaceful countryside setting, felt like a proper home away from home, highly recommend for relaxation!
Samira
We really enjoyed our stay at this cottage. The place was super comfy and the temperature was perfect, which made relaxing easy. Beds were greatand the owners were genuinely friendly and welcoming. The grounds surrounding the property are absolutely stunning, really peaceful. The only slight hiccup was the shower pressure and weak toilet flushes, probably because of the septic tanks, but it didn’t ruin our experience. The farm lanes took some getting used to, but once we were out, it’s a handy half-hour drive to Newquay and just under an hour to Tintagel. Nice spot overall!
Emma
We really enjoyed our stay! The garden was perfect for our dog to run freely and have fun. Just a heads up, you'll need a car since there’s nothing nearby except the Crown Inn - no shops or eateries within walking distance.
Emma
Charming place, wonderful stay, will return again
Emma
The garden was perfect for our dog, super secure and private. The hosts were lovely and welcoming, making us feel at home. The Jacuzzi was fantasticand honestly, we’re already planning to come back next year!
Alex
We had an amazing stay! The scenery was stunning and the hot tub was a real highlight after busy days exploring nearby beaches and farm shops. The inn’s food was top-notchand the accommodation was surprisingly roomy for our family of two adults and three kids. The owners were so friendly when we arrived, which made us feel really welcome. Definitely a place we’d return to!
Leana
The owners were super friendly. The cottage had a really cosy and homely feel. Beds were comfy too. The only downside was that the shower could’ve been a bit more powerful. The kitchen had everything we needed. We absolutely loved that the living room chairs reclined, it really saved us from a lot of arguments with the kids! They, along with the dog, enjoyed the garden so much. Filling up the bird feeder and watching the birds every morning was a highlight for them. One suggestion we’d have is to block the side of the balcony since our dog kept sneaking underneath it. The hot tub was amazing! We had a wonderful time!
Stewart
This property was just lovely and had everything we needed in such a peaceful setting. The hot tub was simply wonderful and really well maintained! There’s a very nice pub within walking distance too. Plus, we found plenty of dog friendly beaches just a short drive away.
Fiona Mae
A lovely spot to kick back and take it easy in the stunning garden or the hot tub. It's peaceful and removed from all the chaos, yet close enough to some delightful places to explore. Everything is prepared with care - it really feels like a home from home! Thanks a bunch!
Debra
We had such a relaxing week at the cottage! The accommodations were a decent size for four adults, but we thought it would be perfect for families as there was a twin room we hardly used. It really felt like a home away from home with everything we needed. The owners greeted us on the first day and made sure to maintain the hot tub daily, but they gave us our space while letting us know to ask if we needed anything. Our dogs absolutely loved the safe, enclosed garden. The property is quite remote, which suited usand there’s a local pub within walking distance, making it a great central spot for exploring.
Louise
What a beautiful spot for a peaceful getaway from it all, right in such a glorious location! It’s really well equipped and we were given such a lovely warm welcome when we arrived.
Clara
The owners are super friendly and really helpfuland this place is just lovely! The garden's fantastic, the area is brilliantand we enjoyed the hot tub too. We're not sure if they’re still taking dogs, but it was so dog friendlyand that big conservatory was perfect for dumping wet clothes and managing a soggy pup. The cottage is warm, spaciousand so comfortable that we all felt right at home there. Plus, the area was nice and quiet, well-placed for all those amazing beaches, walksand attractions like Heligan and the Eden project.
Regan
The owners were incredibly welcoming! The property was really clean and had all the comforts of home. The hot tub was freshly filled and was such a nice treat after a long day of exploring. The place is actually much bigger than it looks in the pictures, plus the garden is secure for dogs. The Wi-Fi was fine, but we did struggle with phone signal on O2. There are plenty of places to visit, like Looe and Polperro, both about a 30-minute drive away. There's a pub nearby; the food wasn't amazing, but the atmosphere was lovely.
Callum
The cottage was way bigger than the photos made it seem. Really spacious with a lovely secluded garden. Just idyllic, we adored watching the birds on the feeders outside the sun lounge every morning. It's close enough to the beach and all the amenities too. The owners and their family are super friendly and approachable!
Yvanne
The cottage is perfectly located if you fancy exploring Cornwall without too much travelling. Even though it’s on a farm, the house and gardens felt like a tranquil retreat. The accommodation is really spacious, giving us plenty of room to either hang out together or find a quiet spot if needed. The fishing at the on-site pond was brilliant, so don’t forget your rods! The hot tub was fabulous and we had a great view of all the birds visiting the lovely garden. Plus, there are a pub, a distilleryand farm shops just a short walk away!
Jonathon
This property is absolutely fantastic! Everything you need is provided and really easy to find. It's set in its own secure grounds with a hot tub and a spacious garden. There are cockerels and peacocks to keep you on your toes, not to mention a working farm at the end of the drive. You get to see dairy cows, dogsand the farmer going about his day all the time. Plus, there are birds in abundence! It really adds to the experience.
Marc
We always have a fantastic time here! It's such a lovely placeand the atmosphere is just brilliant. Can't wait to come back for more fun, it never disappoints. Highly recommend it!
