An impressive, modern holiday home, this stylish hideaway is perfect for that extended family getaway. Sleeping ten guests, ideally six adults and four children, the splendid, four-bedroom cottage is just 500 metres from wide, sandy Polzeath Beach, which is known as a popular surfing destination, as well as for its swimming.
The golden sands and clear crystal waters of Rock Beach are 5 miles away. From here you can catch a ferry across the River Camel to Padstow.
Potter in the independent shops and boutiques while in Padstow and reserve a table in one of its renowned seafood restaurants. Lace up your walking boots and strike out across the National Trust’s magnificent Pentire Headland from the cottage.
From Pentire Point, 1.5 miles away, you can gaze back across Padstow Bay. Keen walkers may also wish to follow a section of the Camel Way, which runs between Wenford Bridge and Padstow.
Head inside via the ramp up to the front door to find bright, airy accommodation with a calming ambience and an abundance of luxurious touches. Turn left from the front door to emerge in the lounge, where you can recline on the soft furniture to rest and recuperate after your busy day.
Floor-to-ceiling windows and patio doors bring the natural light streaming in and can be opened right back onto the garden on summer days. The contemporary wood burner, set into an eye-catching slate chimney breast, is perfect for those chilly evenings.
Head through to the cosy snug for some quiet time, to watch the Smart TV or play on the Xbox in here. The main lounge sweeps round to become the sleek, high-ceilinged kitchen/diner.
Here you can make fresh coffee in the machine to enjoy at the breakfast bar or conjure up a delicious home-cooked meal, using features such as the boiling water tap, to serve up at the table. The bi-folding doors in here also ensure smooth indoor/outdoor living in the warmer months.
