Station House

Station House is a delightful detached holiday retreat tucked away in the peaceful hamlet of Bason Bridge, near Highbridge in Somerset. With sweeping views across the surrounding countryside and the convenience of private driveway parking, this welcoming home-from-home is perfect for families or small groups of friends, plus, two well-behaved dogs are more than welcome to join the adventure.

Step inside and you’ll find a generously sized kitchen/diner, fully equipped to handle everything from hearty breakfasts to evening feasts. Just off the kitchen is a practical utility room, ideal for stashing muddy boots and coats after a day out exploring the Somerset Levels or nearby coast.

The sitting room offers a relaxed setting to put your feet up, complete with a television and a woodburning stove that adds a lovely touch of warmth and charm on cooler evenings. Set across three floors, the property features six tastefully furnished bedrooms.

On the second floor, you’ll discover a flexible king-size room (which can be set up as twins on request), another king-size with a Juliet balcony, two double rooms, one of which enjoys its own private balcony, and a spacious family room with a king-size and single bed, plus an en-suite with a walk-in shower. Several of these rooms enjoy far-reaching views, offering a lovely sense of space and light.

Downstairs, there’s an additional double bedroom, ensuring ample room for everyone. The house also includes a family bathroom, a wet room, and a handy cloakroom with a basin and WC.

Cheddar Gorge and Caves, a world-famous area of outstanding natural beauty, is a short journey away and provides wonderful opportunities for exploring subterranean stalactite caverns, rock climbing and hiking, offering days of outdoor fun for the entire family. Make a pit stop at Brean Theme Park for an exciting array of thrilling rides and attractions that cater to all, and allow the little ones to let loose at the Animal Farm Adventure Park, home to a variety of animals including reindeer, ponies and much more.
