Situated on the owners’ rural smallholding, this former farm building has been converted into a wonderful, single-storey cottage which is great for small families and couples wishing to explore the Welsh coast and countryside. The Welsh coastline is just a short drive away and there are a number of sandy beaches for you to choose from including New Quay (4 miles), Aberaeron (4 miles) and Llangrannog (10. 5 miles). There are plenty of opportunities to spot wildlife on the coast, be it on a dolphin-spotting boat trip or watching seals and seabirds gather on the rocks. Newcastle Emlyn (14. 5 miles) is a great option for a day out, with an array of independent shops and eateries for all the family.

Cenarth Falls are 17.5 miles away, or you could take a trip to Cardigan and visit Cardigan Castle (20 miles). Guests are also just a short drive from the stunning Pembrokeshire Coast National Park (22 miles).

On arrival to this peaceful, rural property, take a moment to appreciate its stone exterior and the far-reaching views that are now yours to enjoy. Step inside and be welcomed by the social heart of the home, the open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner which is bathed in natural light thanks to the floor-to-ceiling windows and glass balcony doors.

Relax in the soft seating in this space, leaving the balcony doors open to let the countryside air flow in. For further relaxation, head to a second, separate lounge where a large TV and more cosy seating awaits.

When stomachs start to rumble, head back into the well-appointed kitchen/diner and find all the amenities and space needed to cook and enjoy memorable holiday feasts together. At the end of each tranquil day away, choose from two delightful bedrooms, both of which boast well-equipped en-suite shower room.

Merlin Hill Centre is a working dairy farm located deep in the Carmarthenshire countryside. Although not a petting farm the farm is still very family friendly with plenty of fun activities to keep children happy. The farm has a good sized play area and plenty of picnic tables as well as a Farmyard Heritage Centre where visitors can learn all about Welsh farm life and about the mystical Legend of Merlin. Get there early if you want to watch the cows being milked!

Dinefwr Park and Castle is the perfect place to come if you like the great outdoors. These stunning ruins are one of the areas most iconic landmarks and are surrounded by breathtaking scenery and wildlife of all descriptions. The gardens feature amazing floral displays and there is also a delightful Tea Room. Children can let of steam on the adventure playground.
