Bwlch Nant yr Arian is just 4.5 miles away, offering walking and cycling opportunities and daily red kite feeding sessions. The Silver Mountain Experience is 5.5 miles to the east.

For a day by the sea, head to Aberystwyth (6.5 miles), which has two lovely beaches, a pier, a harbour and castle ruins, and a cliff railway. It also has a steam railway heading inland to Devil’s Bridge (8 miles), which offers spectacular countryside walks.
