Nestled in verdant surroundings, just 1.5 miles from the small village of Dihewyd and 9.5 miles from vibrant New Quay, with its shops, eateries and beaches. Walk out along the scenic Ceredigion Coast Path to see if you can spot pods of dolphins or book a sea cruise to go wildlife-watching.

Nature lovers may also wish to head inland to explore this tranquil corner of Wales. Visit the Cors Caron National Nature Reserve, 17 miles away, or walk through the magnificent grounds of the National Trust’s Llanerchaeron Estate, 5 miles away.

Here you can wander the walled garden, parkland and Georgian villa. Tear yourselves away from the far-reaching views over the Aeron Valley to enter this magical hideaway that blends beautifully into the picturesque Ceredigion landscape.

Grill supper on the BBQ and unwind in the jacuzzi style hot tub, relaxing back in the warm water to admire the view. Shared facilities include private farm walks and nature trails- with free welly hire if needed, a games barn with pool, darts, ping pong, table football, giant jenga and giant connect 4, a children's play park and climbing wall.

Lampeter 2 miles. Set on a hillside, in the village of Pentrebach near Lampeter, this former farmhouse enjoys far-reaching south-facing countryside views. Once off the main road and on a 'no through' road, you will pass two houses on your way up to the property and then only come across the local farm traffic thereafter.

Merlin Hill Centre is a working dairy farm located deep in the Carmarthenshire countryside. Although not a petting farm the farm is still very family friendly with plenty of fun activities to keep children happy. The farm has a good sized play area and plenty of picnic tables as well as a Farmyard Heritage Centre where visitors can learn all about Welsh farm life and about the mystical Legend of Merlin. Get there early if you want to watch the cows being milked!
Dinefwr Park and Castle - SA19 6RT

Dinefwr Park and Castle is the perfect place to come if you like the great outdoors. These stunning ruins are one of the areas most iconic landmarks and are surrounded by breathtaking scenery and wildlife of all descriptions. There is also a 17th century mansion to explore with grand rooms and wonderful exhibits of paintings and tapestries. The gardens feature amazing floral displays and there is also a delightful Tea Room. Children can let of steam on the adventure playground.

When the weather is nice this attraction is perfect as you can wander around and admire the superb range of exotic trees and shrubs.  They look different at different times of the year but one of the most popular times to see them is in Autumn.  With various events throughout the year such as Apple Weekend there is always something new to experience.  You can watch a 90 second film about this attraction on their website which is excellent.
