About The Lodge

Tucked away on a working farm near Talgarreg in Ceredigion, this serene lodge is a romantic location for couples who like their breaks with fresh air and walking routes aplenty. You can head straight out on foot from the property, then call into the village pub for something to eat afterwards.

When the coast is calling, New Quay is only 7 miles away, with three different but beautiful beaches, a lively little harbour and boat trips out into Cardigan Bay, where bottlenose dolphins and seabirds are often spotted. Cwmtydu and Llangrannog beaches are also within 9 miles, giving you plenty of variety.

For a day of history, National Trust’s Llanerchaeron (9 miles) offer a Georgian villa with walled gardens, while the National Wool Museum (12 miles) provides a deep dive into the crafting industry. Climb the steps up to this charming lodge and head through the veranda doors straight into a cosy, timber-clad living space.

Warm wood runs from floor to ceiling, and this space creates a real sense of being tucked away from it all. To the left sits the TV, while the central sofa and matching stool are positioned to make the most of the lodge’s elevated setting and countryside outlook.

To the right, the compact contemporary kitchen makes clever use of the space, with useful equipment and a breakfast bar with stool seating. The rustic atmosphere continues into the double bedroom, where there’s a chic bed and storage for your gear.

A separate shower room completes the lodge, with a shower cubicle and WC. The veranda is where this lodge really comes into its own, with a bubbling hot tub and outdoor furniture overlooking the lake and surrounding countryside.

Private parking for one car is also provided beside the lodge.
