About Myrtle Hill Cottage

On the brink of the Brecon Beacons, this exceptional seven-person holiday home offers a five-star escape for larger groups. Stay here with friends or family, whether for a celebratory occasion, a long-awaited reunion, or simply your annual holiday.

The property provides everything you need for resting and recharging after a day of South Wales hikes, bike rides, and more, including a hot tub in the large, private garden. While in the garden, keep your eyes peeled for red kites circling above - they're well-known to reside in this enviable part of the world.

The detached stone cottage has been skilfully designed to offer contemporary decor while retaining the property's original soul. Vaulted ceilings, wooden beams, exposed stonework, and an original bread oven feature add charm and intrigue to the place.

It's a reverse-level space with four bedrooms on the ground floor. Three are en-suite, and an additional bathroom can be found upstairs by the utility room.

On the first floor, a large lounge, kitchen, and dining area easily blend into one another, offering all you need for endless relaxation, including a wood burner, TV, and games. Bi-fold doors lead out from here onto the patio, a large, furnished space with elevated country views.

The six-person hot tub sits on the lower patio - a fantastic spot for some late-night stargazing. Equidistant from Llandovery (3 miles) and Llangadog (4.5 miles), you're well-positioned to explore the western edge of the Brecon Beacons National Park.

The Usk Reservoir is around 8 miles away for scenic waterfront walks and fly fishing. The beautiful backdrop is known for its stunning sunsets, so be sure to visit as the day draws to a close.

The mountain of Fan Brycheiniog (car park 6.5 miles) can be admired from this landscape, and you can set off to hike the highest peak of the Black Mountains and enjoy the scenic tranquillity of Fan Brycheiniog (8 miles).
