Heading east, you can explore the bustling seaside town of Tenby (1.5 miles), which is known for its medieval town walls and glorious sandy beaches, with other landmarks including the Tudor Merchant’s House, Tenby Castle and a picturesque harbour offering trips out to Caldey Island. Heading inland, this idyllic corner of Pembrokeshire has a wealth of popular attractions including Upton Castle Gardens, Lamphey Bishops Palace, Heatherton World of Activities and Manor Wildlife Park, all within 9 miles.

Entering this spacious, fresh and cheerful single-level hideaway, you will be greeted by a welcoming entrance hall with storage space for shoes and coats, before heading through to the bright and stylishly organised open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner. Sitting beneath a high ceiling, the light-filled lounge is an ideal space for you all to unwind in, complete with a Smart TV, plush seating and a feature fireplace.

To one side, the sociable dining area sits by the French doors, offering a lovely spot for a family meal which you can rustle up in the elegantly arranged and fully equipped kitchen space, which has a handy central breakfast bar as well as plenty of work and storage space. When it’s time to turn in for the night, you will have a choice of three tastefully decorated bedrooms, each with en-suite facilities and built-in wardrobes.

The first is a lovely king-size room with a beautiful bathroom, while the cheery double room and the relaxing twin have a chic shower room each. Stepping outside via the lounge’s French doors, the sweet, private and enclosed sun terrace is an ideal space for you all to sit back, relax and dine alfresco on a summer’s afternoon.

Located on a campsite in the Pembrokeshire countryside, it offers easy access to some of the best scenic sights and attractions in the area. Redberth (1.5 miles) has a pub and a couple of shops for picking up amenities, or you could head to the glorious village of Saundersfoot (5 miles).

Dinosaur Park - SA67 8DE

The Dinosaur Park is located in Tenby and makes the perfect family day out.  Activities on offer include fossil hunting, Dino Crafts, Pat a Pet and the treasure hunt.  For both toddlers and older kids there's an indoor adventure playground, ideal when the weather is not on your side.  The high-tec activity centre is always popular with interactive fun and education.  New in 2010 is Hooplasaurus.  Check out their website for the latest admission prices and what's on when you plan to visit.
Folly Farm - SA68 0XA
about 5 Miles
Folly Farm in Pembrokeshire is an award winning Farm attraction, offering fun for the whole family come rain or shine. The main attractions are the Zoo, Farm and Petting Barn and there is also a huge Adventure Play Area and a small funfair with traditional rides. Priced at just £8.00 for adults and £7.00 for children it offers excellent value for money. There are several places to eat and drink including a licensed bar and a family friendly restaurant.
Pembroke Castle - SA71 4LA

Pembroke Castle is thought to be the birthplace of the Tudor dynasty and is an excellent choice for a family day trip. The castle one of the areas most iconic landmarks and features an amazing 75ft high Great Tower! Visitors can also take a tour of the Norman Hall and the Exhibition Rooms where the displays change regularly. There is also a Picnic area and plenty of open space for children to run around in the grounds and gardens. The site also has a cafe and a gift shop.
Merlin Hill Centre - SA67 8BP
about 24 Miles
Merlin Hill Centre is a working dairy farm located deep in the Carmarthenshire countryside. Although not a petting farm the farm is still very family friendly with plenty of fun activities to keep children happy. The farm has a good sized play area and plenty of picnic tables as well as a Farmyard Heritage Centre where visitors can learn all about Welsh farm life and about the mystical Legend of Merlin. Get there early if you want to watch the cows being milked!
National Botanic Garden of Wales - SA32 8HN

When the weather is nice this attraction is perfect as you can wander around and admire the superb range of exotic trees and shrubs.  They look different at different times of the year but one of the most popular times to see them is in Autumn.  With various events throughout the year such as Apple Weekend there is always something new to experience.  You can watch a 90 second film about this attraction on their website which is excellent.
Celtic Quest Coaststeering - SA65 9PT

Celtic Quest Coaststeering offers a unique way for active families to spend the day. As long as children are over 8 and everyone is fit and well the whole family can enjoy a day of climbing, descending down mountains, cliff jumping and Island hopping. This adrenaline boosting day out is not for the fainthearted. A half day of Coaststeering cost just £39.00 per person.
