Plus, it's close to all the amenitiesand just a short walk to the beach and local shops. This holiday home is super clean and tidy! The owners really have thought of everything you might need to make your stay comfy. It's only a 10 to 15 minute walk, although it's quite a steep hill, into Saundersfoot which has a lovely harbour and beach. There are loads of great places to eat, plus independent bars to grab a drink and plenty of independent shops to browse around. There's even a well stocked Tesco Express and Spar nearby.

For both toddlers and older kids there's an indoor adventure playground, ideal when the weather is not on your side. The high-tec activity centre is always popular with interactive fun and education. Pembroke Castle is thought to be the birthplace of the Tudor dynasty and is an excellent choice for a family day trip. The castle one of the areas most iconic landmarks and features an amazing 75ft high Great Tower! Visitors can also take a tour of the Norman Hall and the Exhibition Rooms where the displays change regularly. There is also a Picnic area and plenty of open space for children to run around in the grounds and gardens. The site also has a cafe and a gift shop.

Merlin Hill Centre is a working dairy farm located deep in the Carmarthenshire countryside. Although not a petting farm the farm is still very family friendly with plenty of fun activities to keep children happy. The farm has a good sized play area and plenty of picnic tables as well as a Farmyard Heritage Centre where visitors can learn all about Welsh farm life and about the mystical Legend of Merlin. Get there early if you want to watch the cows being milked!
