This remote beach is mainly pebbles, but it certainly impresses with its vast views and seals occasionally popping up to say hello! Further along the coast, Poppit Sands (3.5 miles) and Newport Beach (6 miles) offer a more sandy day out, and are a must-visit for high-octane water sports enthusiasts.
The world-renowned Pembrokeshire Coast Path runs alongside here too, if you fancy seeing the picturesque sights on foot. Recharge with a hearty bowl of Cawl in Cardigan (6 miles), before wandering the Norman halls of Cardigan Castle.
For a change of scenery, the Preseli Hills are within 18 miles and provide well-liked birdwatching spots and mountain ranges to climb.
