This Alpine-style lodge has been built with an emphasis on large windows and natural materials, with an ambience of relaxed comfort throughout. The living space is open plan, with a plush, L-shaped sofa at one end.

Curl up here and enjoy the beautiful views through the floor-to-ceiling windows and, when it’s dark, draw the curtains and stream your favourite shows on the Smart TV. The large dining table is central, and at the far end is the kitchen, equipped with everything you’ll need to create delicious meals.

Also on the ground floor is a double bedroom with an en-suite bathroom. When bedtime approaches, take the stairs to the first floor and find the remaining two bedrooms – a twin with an en-suite shower room and a king-size with huge windows and a Juliet balcony, plus seating for you to enjoy the views.

This room has an en-suite bathroom with a free-standing bath positioned by the window. The outside space includes two patios – one covered and furnished for lounging, and the other with a picnic bench and BBQ – as well as a hot tub.

There’s private parking for three cars. The lodge is just 0.5 miles from Presteigne, a lively small town with an arty ambience, renowned for its pretty high street with period buildings.

Walkers and cyclists will want to try the nearby trails, including Offa’s Dyke, 3 miles away, while garden lovers can head to the renowned Hergest Croft Gardens (8 miles). Both Ludlow and Hay-on-Wye are within 18 miles.
