Get ready for exhilarating days in the great outdoors followed by relaxing evenings in the hot tub. This superb getaway, located in the Bannau Brycheiniog National Park (Brecon Beacons), has incredible views, fabulous facilities, and is dog-friendly too.
It’s an ideal romantic retreat, whether you’re looking to rest and recharge or get out and about in spectacular natural surroundings. Access the secluded hideaway with a careful drive along the narrow, winding and uneven track and take a moment to appreciate the surrounding vistas, including Skirrid and Sugar Loaf.
Inside, the open-plan living area includes a generously sized lounge area furnished with comfortable sofas. Snuggle up and enjoy the views, or draw the curtains and stream a movie on the Smart TV.
This room flows through to the large kitchen/diner, another gorgeous space with painted cabinetry, a dining table for four, and everything you’ll need for holiday cooking, including a microwave. Stairs lead from here up to the first floor, where you’ll find the handsome super-king-size bedroom.
Tucked into the sloping roof, this large room has a statuesque wooden bed from which you can take in the stunning scenery outside. For long soaks and refreshing spritzes, the bathroom includes a bath and a separate shower.
The expansive outside space comprises an enclosed patio with a wood-fired hot tub and dining furniture, and you’ll have off-road parking for two cars. For anyone who loves the great outdoors, this out-of-the-way haven is a treat.
Set out for an all-day hike or cycle ride, go horse riding or play a round of golf (there are two clubs within 9 miles). The National Trust’s Sugar Loaf and Usk Valley are just 8 miles away or, for a change, head to the market town of Abergavenny (7 miles) and explore its charming shops, puts and eateries.
