The market towns of Nailsworth (3.5 miles) of Stroud (2.5 miles) have a vast array of independent boutiques and highly rated eateries, with the latter home to one of the best farmers’ markets in the country. Wine tasting and tours can be enjoyed at Woodchester Valley Vineyard (1.5 miles).

Take time out to master your swing at the Minchinhampton Golf Club (5 miles). For the more adventurous, experience gliding at the Cotswold Gliding Club (5 miles).

Visitors can explore the mile of pathways passing over wooden bridges and through some stunning tree and rock formations. The maze of pathways are quite enchanting and the site has recently been used as a location for the BBC1 production of Merlin. This wonderful attraction in Gloucestershire will appeal to animal lovers as you will have the chance to see the fantastic work going on and meet the rescued horses, ponies and donkeys.  This place is funded entirely through public donations and they rely on these vital funds.  Kids will love the play barn and straw den where they can run off some energy.  New for 2010 is the Aerial Runway with Jungle Climber.
Farmer Gows - SN7 8DA

Farmer Gows is a recommended attraction in the Faringdon area of Oxfordshire and will be especially suited to families with young children.  The little ones will love coming to see the farm animals including pigs, cows and lambs.  The meet the animals session takes place every day and includes handling the animals, walking the goats, feeding the pigs and cows and egg collecting.  Look out for special seasonal events throughout the year such as the Halloween Party, Lambing and children's workshops.  The latest news from the farm is that they have some Saddleback piglets and Speckledy chicks arriving shortly.
