About 3-Bedroom Hot Tub Cottage in Newnham

On the banks of the River Severn, hidden behind a small cluster of quirky properties, this converted chapel cottage offers a unique space for six guests, well suited to friends or relatives. You’ll pass a local pub and waterfront cafe on your way down to Newnham (1 mile), your nearest village.

A little further still, Cinderford (4 miles) is a larger town boasting a world of amenities, right on the edge of the Forest of Dean. It offers access to some of the forest’s scenic walking and cycling trails, including the Gruffalo Trail, a fan favourite with young visitors.

The Wye Valley National Landscape begins a little further along (8.5 miles), with stunning scenic locations that hug the contours of the River Wye as it travels down the country. Staying closer to home, you can admire the captivating River Severn from two favourite viewpoints, Blaize Bailey (3 miles) or the local pub 300 metres from the property.

The monochrome exterior of this old chapel building is truly impressive, and its characterful windows and high ceilings can be admired throughout the property too. Start at the entrance hall, where you’re greeted by a ground-floor shower room and the first of three bedrooms, a delightful double.

The hallway then leads onto a spacious lounge/diner, where soft seating offers ample space to unwind, and a wood burner and Smart TV set the scene for a memorable evening. The kitchen, just next door, is exceptionally well-equipped for everything you need, from cooking to cleaning.

Quirky open-slatted stairs lead onto the first floor, where you’ll find two remaining bedrooms – a double and a twin – positioned beneath double-height ceilings, yet retaining a sense of cosiness. These are served by a final, convenient shower room.
