Venture the same distance to spend time at beautiful Druridge Bay Country Park too, with its scenic woodland and picturesque 100-acre Ladyburn Lake, where you can go sailing, canoeing, stand-up paddleboarding and windsurfing.

Head into Amble to wander the independent shops, dine out and spend time at the Harbour Village, with its spectrum of outlets. From here, you can also book cruises out to Coquet Island, home to thousands of puffins and other seabirds.

Head into this striking abode at the lower-ground-floor level to find yourselves in a useful boot room and laundry space. Leave muddy boots, hang coats and find you also have a very handy family shower room with a rainfall shower where you can rinse off the sand after days on the beach.
