The Old Paddock Reviews

Mark
Overall, we really enjoyed our stay. The location is absolutely stunningand it’s a great spot for a getaway. The benches were fine for eating, but honestly, more comfy chairs in the living area would’ve made a difference for relaxing. Also, we couldn’t get the hot tub up past 34.5°C, which was a bit disappointing. Still, we had a lovely time!
Emma
The house was lovely, fully equippedand super comfy. Bude and Holsworthy are just a quick drive!
Emma
We had an awesome week at The Paddock! Six adults and our 4-month-old baby just got back after a 7-day stay. Honestly, they’ve thought of everything - from scones, milkand a black bin to all the essentials for our first day. It really saved us a trip to the shop after a long drive. The sun loungers and beach toys in the garage were a lovely touch. The place is so well thought out, we’d definitely come back. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for a relaxing break!
Alex
Really enjoyed our stay, the house was lovely and the hot tub a great bonus!
Emma
Really enjoyed our stay, the house was cosy and nicely stocked. The peaceful village was perfect, just a short drive to Bude and the beaches. Would definitely come back!
Simon
We really enjoyed our stay here! The house is spacious and spotlessly clean, with everything you could need for a comfy holiday. The location is perfect - in a peaceful village but close enough to the main roads for exploring Devon and Cornwall. The neighbours are super friendly without being intrusive. And that hot tub? Absolutely loved it! Definitely recommend.
Mark
Really comfy place, lovely facilities, perfect spot for exploring Devon and Cornwall.

From the moment we arrived, we knew this place was special. The driveway view was stunning and really set the tone. The little thoughtful touches throughout made it feel cosy and welcoming. We love booking holiday cottages for our getawaysand this one definitely stands out as the best so far. It was spotlessly cleanand when we needed a bit of help, the response was quick and friendly. We’re already planning to come back again for Christmas - can’t wait! Highly recommend to families and couples alike.
Emma
At first, we loved the little touches like robes and chocolates for everyone! That said, the place really needs a proper deep clean - lots of cobwebs and spiders, plus some broken outdoor and indoor bits that should be fixed or pointed out. Could be great with a bit of sprucing up!
Emma
We really enjoyed our stay; the house was super well stocked with everything we needed. The robes in the bedroom and the welcome treats were such a lovely touch. The hot tub was just perfect for relaxing. Only minor thing was needing a few more bin liners to keep everything tidy, especially for recycling since the bins are emptied manually due to the location. Would definitely return though, it’s a lovely place!
Sarah
We had a lovely stay here! The house felt just like a cosy home, perfect for our group of 7 adults and 2 dogs. The furniture and beds were comfyand the bedding was really nice. It’s very private and there's plenty of parking. Just a heads up - bring your own consumables like washing-up liquid. We had some to start us off, but if you plan to use the washing machine, tablets are a good idea since you can buy them locally in Bude. Great location for exploring the area!
Emma
We really enjoyed staying at the cottage; the garden was perfect for our dog to run freely and felt very secure. The peaceful setting suited usand the neighbours were genuinely friendly. The only downside was the lack of nearby shops, but I hear that'll be sorted soon. Looking forward to returning!
Emma
Beautifully designed home, perfect village spot, really well thought out.
Emma
The house was spacious with a lovely big garden, perfect for our curious dog! The fencing kept him safe while he explored. Everything inside was clearly labelled and well stocked. We’d definitely recommend staying hereand the neighbours were super friendly too.
Emma
This place is great, perfect spot to explore all the local attractions easily.
Claire
We absolutely loved our stay at this stunning house! It’s honestly one of the most well-equipped places we’ve ever rented. Super comfy, spaciousand really well thought out. Definitely recommend, five stars from us!
Emily
We had a lovely stay at this modern, well-equipped house. The enclosed garden was perfect for our dog, who loved exploring it safely. The hot tub was a real bonus and everyone enjoyed unwinding in it. The bedrooms and living space felt cosy yet contemporary, making it a comfortable place to relax after days out. We appreciated the thoughtful touches like afternoon tea and extra amenities - such a warm welcome! The location is ideal, not too far from the beaches, so it’s perfect if you want a peaceful escape for a week or two. Highly recommend!
James
Really enjoyed staying here! The house was spotless, roomyand super comfy. Loved the quiet area but still close to Bude and Widemouth Bay. Hot tub was a lovely bonus!
Sarah
We loved this place! It’s beautifully decorated and feels so cosy, like a proper home away from home. Totally recommend it to anyone!
Oliver
While we love the size and potential of the new house, the little things let it down. The service team {GOLD} didn’t reply after we called about the heating. The lawn was overgrownand bins hadn’t been emptied, which was a bit of a letdown.
