Tresco Bungalow

Beautiful sea views and well appointed property. Few minutes easy walk to the beach, and you can hear the waves from the lovely terrace or from the amazing hot tub. Perfect location to walk into St Ives 5mins level walk after short slope. Property had everything we needed, although we couldn't work out to use the dryer part of the washerdryer. Everything was clean and bright. Instructions on how to reach property were spot on and glad I'd watched the video on how to drive in, but the hill is very steep to drive back up with a heavily loaded little car and this was stressful. We had a fabulous stay and are already missing the sea views!

Amazing property and views. There is everything you need in the property and outside. We couldn't resist booking it again for later this year and next year while staying at the bungalow.

WOW what a little gem perfect location with beautiful views and what a sun trap from sunrise to early evening. The property had everything you needed to cook a full meal to plastic glasses for the hot tub! Dont think I can stay anywhere else in St. Ives after being spoilt with this perfect property!

On arrival found toilet bedroom 1 not cleaned found poo skid stains bottom of toilet. Inside property there are ants crawling around. The patio around property not cleaned for weeks lots of dead leaves twigs also needs deweeding very grubby and dirty in need of a good jet wash. Hot tub cover caked with dried birds poo also sun bed loungers mattress's had dried bird poo stains. Property accommodates for four adults and only has two sun loungers. The decking area is over looked by the Harbour Hotel plus a block of apartment's which there is no privacy on decking area periodically was over looked by people from hotel also apartment's looking down at us not nice at all. On our last day 8am went to have a last dip in hot tube found a man there who had empty it out he reply said sorry did you want to use it my reply was to late you've empty is check out is not till 10am also where was our privacy what the hell was he there at that time which there was no EXCUSE for him to be there at all. we wad very disappointed in finding the property in this condition after pay nearly 2,000 which thought it would be a 5 star property but it is not. Great location, property was clean, but we did have an issue with Ants in the living room. Was a small up hill trek from the car park to the property, so had to have several trips to offload the car, there is a disability lift which would have been ideal, but was not working. Also an issue with the Ring type doorbell going off randomly. All points above didnt really detract from this being a really nice property in a good location with spectacular views of St Ives.

This is our second time staying at Tresco and our stay was just as lovely as the last. We have never stayed anywhere else in St Ives with such beautiful views, a nice modern feel and in such a perfect location. The beach is literally on your doorstep and it is only a short walk into St Ives with only a slight incline when coming back to the property. The property was clean and tidy when we arrived and has all the things you would need for cooking or cleaning during your stay. The hot tub was the perfect temperature when we arrived and got used lots during our stay. We had to contact the owner during our stay as there was an issue with the gate but this was resolved very quickly and the owner was very apologetic despite it only being a very minor issue. There isnt one thing we could say negatively about the property and our experiences staying here. We wont hesitate to book again in the future!

We have stayed in around 15 different properties across 3 different companies and by far this is the best one. Honestly a little too expensive but given location, facilities, view, hot tub this is why. Its fully equipped with everything you could need and well layed out. The paved areas could do with a jet wash but in all honesty thats the only slight criticism I could find for 2 weeks here! Booking does say you cannot use lift. Given this from where your car is parked its around a 40 second walk to the front door through 3 gates and is uphill so those less active may struggle. From main Road to drive to your parking its a very steep and narrow single track road and difficult to exit round a blind bend on a hill and as such you need to drive out quick when you think its clear. Loved the property and location and will definitely return !

Where do I start. We first came to St Ives 13 years ago and left our hearts behind. We came across Tresco Bungalow two years ago and have stayed two years consecutively every August since for ten days. What doesnt this beautiful haven have.Walking through the entrance gate your breath will be taken away. It is luxury at its finest with views you yearn to go back too. The sun rises literally out of the sea. If you are not a natural early riser I can promise the views of the sun rising out the ocean will have you up. Tresco is so well equipped with Bluetooth speakers inside and out. A wrap around garden and a hot tub with terrace with views of St Ives and the sea. Parking is brilliant. With the narrow roads in St Ives you can leave your car at home and with thoughtful ramp access to the house push prams and wheel chairs are so wonderfully thought of. The beds are like sleeping on a cloud ever so comfortable. The beach is literally downstairs yards away. At night when the lights come on around you it is as if you are at the Amalfi coast and on a clear night what better than star gazing sitting in a hot tub. There is no shortage of space and a utility room room also. Nothing is too far. A train station a stone throw from the house. A lovely coastal walk into St Ives. Eateries and bars all walkable distance. We have made so many beautiful memories here and Tresco feels like home. We are back there in August again third year running and cannot wait. What an amazing place 5 stars all the way. The facilities in the property are so thought about there is everything you need and more we couldnt have been happier comfort and luxury is second to none. Loved every minute.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Tresco. Beautiful bungalow and terrace, with an awesome view! Some lovely touches. Easy walking distance into town and the parking was brilliant. Its a bit hairy pulling out onto the main road at the top of the hill when leaving, a mirror on the opposite side of the road would be helpful. The beds were the comfiest Ive ever slept in, could you please tell me where the mattress in the room leading out to the terrace is from I forgot to look before we left?? The showers were fantastic too! Just a couple of things we would have liked. Coffee machine Plants on terrace We did find 2 broken wine glasses in the back of the cupboard and all the glasses were really dirty, guess this was just missed on the clean but nothing major, there were other wine glasses. We would definitely be back.

Myself , partner & little dog stayed at tresco bungalow in June. I can honestly say its one of the nicest , cleanest properties weve stayed in whilst visiting Cornwall. It had everything we needed & was so spacious. The bungalow was in a perfect location & right next to a train station to get around. The bungalow had amazing sea views . We enjoyed it so much & didnt want to come home! 1010

This is a brilliant accommodation in a fantastic location. The owners provide everything you need for a great holiday, I would highly recommend.

This property is just amazing , everything you could want all hi tech stuff in an amazing location. Could not get any better. The only thing to improve it would be a working lift to get your luggage from car to bungalow , but then you cant literally have everything. Would 100 go again.

The bungalow was excellent. The system to get the EV charger working is convoluted and relies on your staff knowing what to do, which didn't initially happen with us, which was frustrating. The EV charger price is a little high for a 7kw charger at 0.60 per kwh.

Stunning property, great location with wonderful views, short walking distance to beach and St Ives. Comfortable beds, amazing showers, the hot tub is clean and an excellent temperature. Had the fantastic stay. Highly recommend!

Absolutely amazing property. Everything we could ask for. Even in November it was lovely to sit out in the hot tub. Didnt want to leave to be honest.

We had a really lovely stay at Tresco bungalow. The property, views, location and facilities were excellent. It was very well equiped and had everthing we needed. The only issues we encountered were upon arrival at the Bungalow the description of how to access the property from the car park, there was no mention of a car park was not clear and as we arrived in the dark proved something of an issue, and no mention of any steps that you had to access from the car park. The emergency number was not helpful as you had to go through a number of options and then leave a message and someone would get back to you. Not helpful I feel if you need immediate assistance. We eventually found the main entrance which is located up some stairs on a public walkway uphill behind the Bungalow. The Bungalow does have a garden next to it which is gated which would eliminate the need to use the steps but apparently is no longer in use for guests, and I therefore feel is an issue if you have a lot of luggage or mobility issues. I did mention to Sykes that the description was not accurate, which they agreed and said they would update it. I unfortunately left an item behind which has now been returned safely but that proved a bit of nightmare as there was knowone you could speak to directly. All the numbers I tried only had options to book as a guest or rent for as an owner. You have to go through either of these options and you are then transferred, you cannot telephone customer services direct it is a digital service only. I telephoned many times to chase it up and spoke to at least 10 poeple on different occasions, having to wait at least 20 mins on each occasion having to repeat the same conversation, and then put on hold each time as they then had to contact the Carbis bay office before eventually it was sorted. It was so long winded. They stated the housekeeper had serviced the property the day we left and would have no reason to go back to the property until the next occupants left, so I had know way of knowing for over a week whether my property had been found by the housekeeper. I do feel having someone closer at hand to deal with immediate issues would be beneficial, and unfortunately would make me reluctant to book a property with Sykes again without this.

Beautiful stay, everything you could hope for. The property was clean, lovely welcome pack, well positioned for St Ives, a really beautiful property. Loved how close to all the amenities it is and how private it is too. The only thing I can say to make it better would be the hot tub cleanliness. It had a fair bit of sand in it when we arrived and no one came to check the chlorine levels. I called and reported it but it remained the same. When we checked, there was no chlorine in after 4 days of use. It didnt stop us from having an amazing stay, it really was fabulous and Id recommend it to anyone.

We booked our stay at Tresco on the day of arrival due to a last minute cancellation of a different property. It is fair to say, we were not disappointed by this and couldnt have been happier about our stay at Tresco. The property was cleaned and welcome package was ready for us when we arrived. We were impressed with how well the kitchen was stocked with utensils. The outdoor area was secure for the dog and had lovely views. We enjoyed using the hot tub and looking over the beach. The property looks over Porthminster beach which was a lovely close walk for the dog in the evenings. The property is also very short walk away from the harbour in St Ives and didnt have too many steep hills. We wouldnt hesitate to book again and highly recommend to friends.

Beautiful bungalow & views! Couple mentions there was a set of keys in front door when we arrived and property not alarmed extra keys in key box too!. I would recommend some blinds to close at night in front windowsdoors as it was uncomfortably hot upon waking due to beautiful sunshine we were lucky to have. Pool man did indeed come early 7am he did not ring bell so it was fortunate my dog was not out in the garden. I splashed out on this expensive property for my wifes 60th but our last afternoon 187 which we intended chilling peacefully in the hot tub was spoilt by mini diggers going up & down lane to rear of property with their very loud alarms going off which was indeed not pleasant to listen to.

We had a lovely holiday at Tresco Bungalow. It is a fantastic location, lovely views. Close to a fantastic beach and a short walk to St Ives Harbour.

Wonderful bungalow with all the necessary amenities you would need. Location is perfect with stunning views and a very short walk to the town.Would definitely rebook again.

Absolutely 1 of the best holiday places I have had for a week . The inside is good but the space outside is fabulous . And Location is spot on . Will hopefully be back

We sadly arrived to large dog turds up the steps, balls of black dog hair on the floor, sandy mats and dusty windows sills. This made the start of the stay not so good but the owner was quick to respond. Once this was cleaned up and the hot tub warmed up we relaxed into a lovely stay and really enjoyed the accommodation and setting. The location and facilities were fantastic. We were glad the canoes were not on top of our van or we may not have got under the bridge! The music from the hotel above did keep the kids awake at night so would bring ear plugs if we came again. A wonderful view to wake up to and super comfy beds.

We had a wonderful stay here and I couldnt recommend it highly enough. The whole place is a smart house so theres a pad under the TV to control everything from the radiators to the towel warmers. The kitchen is very wellstocked so you have all the cutlery, cutting knives, boards etc you would need. We enjoyed breakfast both outside on deck and inside at the small table overlooking the water beach. The beds were quite comfortable and decorated in a cool, modern style. The hot tub was a treat and we enjoyed it a few times during the stay despite it being a little chilly when we visited. It really is quite a luxurious place and you feel a little bit like royalty getting to stay so close to the water with a beautiful view. I would like to caution folks on getting to the bungalow. You have to maneuver down a very steep hill then around to a parking lot right in front of the bungalow. Our friend staying with us didnt feel like her car would make it down the hill so we parked around the side at the train station parking. Its around 10 a day and just a minute or two walk to the bungalow if you are unsure of navigating the steep hill. Other than this, if you really want a wonderful weekend away in a beautiful bungalow thats close to shops and of course the beach, this place is for you!

This is an excellent property in a fantastic location. It is very thoughtfully set out with so many extra facilities included as standard. Not a criticism but an observation, we were lucky enough to have a very sunny day so we used the sun loungers and it is a real sun trap, so maybe a sun umbrella for the guests staying in the summer months would be a great addition to what is a great property, real credit to the owners.

We had a very pleasant stay in St Ives. Tresco bungalow is furnished brilliantly, with very modern fittings and utilities that made our stay very comfortable and enjoyable. The location is perfect for short walks into town and directly to the beautiful beach below. We were very unfortunate with weather, so could only use the hot tub once, but it was set up nicely to be able to look out at the lovely view whilst relaxing. St Ives has some wonderful old architecture, beautiful walks in the town and challenging hills to explore, as well as some lovely pubs, an incredible old church and great restaurants. The Harbour Fish and Chips were some of the best fish and chips Ive ever had! We took the train to Penzance as well, which was an experience, but the town isnt any where near as lovely as St Ives, so we were glad to be staying there. Some things to note getting to the property was a slight challenge, you need to be prepared to drive down an incredibly steep hill which looks like a footpath. Myself and my wife both decided sat nav must be wrong and diverted to a different route through town, which turned out to be a wrong move and got us a little lost down the tiny roads we shouldnt have been on. When investigating the steep hill path by foot we realised this was in fact the way, and managed to get the car down the hill. It wasnt a problem in the end, but some advanced warning that youll need a car that can handle the climb back up the hill too and some reasonably good driving skills to navigate this. Another thing of note and only minor grievance would be that the pool man came before 8am on the morning we were leaving, which we felt was a little intrusive as we had until 10am to leave. In the second bedroom, the two single beds pushed together could do with a mattress topper to make sure you cant feel the divide. Otherwise the bungalow was excellent, well equipped, clean, modern and great location for the duration of our holiday.
