The Old Schoolrooms Reviews

Teresa
Superb property, spotlessly clean and maintained. Games room a big plus. We spent time visiting local attractions and towns all within a few miles.
Gareth
Lovely property. So well designed to keep characteristics of the Old School whilst keeping it modern. Only suggestion is that maybe fans in the bedrooms would be a good idea. Whilst the weather is unusual at the moment, as this is becoming the norm, the temperature in the bedrooms may be a common problem
A lovely property, well equipped, clean, modern, and well really enjoyed the hot tub and our weekend stay there.
Catherine
The Old Schoolrooms exceeded our expectations. Very spacious and probably best equipped kitchen of any self catering accommodation we have stayed in. Very easy communication with owner. Would definitely recommend.
Krysia
The only additional thing I felt could have been provided was a spongescourer for the kitchen sink
Joanne
A beautiful property that had fantastic facilities. My family enjoyed our break away at the Old Schoolhouse, the house was very clean and well presented. The hot tub, pool table, air hockey, table football, games console and board games were great and made the stay even more enjoyable for our teenage children. The local area has lots to see and do, just a few things we did that others may enjoy if staying were Shepton Mallet Prison visit, Wookey Hole, East Somerset Railway, Frome market and a great meal at the Poachers Pocket.
Plenty of room in this house and lots of activities to keep both adults and youngsters occupied. A bottle of Prosecco in the fridge was a lovely touch by the owners although we left it for the next occupiers being only occasional drinkers. Couple of things to mention the induction hob is unsafe for those with pacemakers fitted like myself. It might be good to make this clear in literature. We worked out the recycling system which is markedly different to our own system in Norfolk. Some clear instructions might help some guests. Not criticisms just trying to be helpful. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in the Old Schoolrooms and would happily recommend it to others. Many thanks to the owners!

This property was wonderful. Very well equipped kitchen. Games was great with lots of choice of board games. The air hockey, football table and pool table was well used. The hot tub and area was very clean and we all enjoyed the garden area too
Great property with everything we wanted for a weekend family gathering. Lots of space with a large and well equipped kitchen. Particularly enjoyed the hot tub and the pool table etc. Easy access into Bath approximately 30 minutes away. Can highly recommend!

The house was decorated and maintained to a high standard. A real gem of a place and I will highly recommend it to anyone. The games rooms and hot tub make it appealing to all ages. Nice touch to see the history of the conversion displayed on the wall.
Justine
INCREDIBLE! ! The old Schoolrooms were more than we were expecting. The home is gorgeous and spacious and has absolutely everything you could possibly need. There are so many books and toys for the kids too which was really great. The house was decorated so wonderfully for Christmas and our stay was just perfect. We were so sad to leave and will definitely be back!
The Old Schoolrooms conversion has obviously been completed recently and everything was well equipped, new and in tiptop condition. Many of the rooms had plain decoration and few or no pictures, so the effect was quite modern and minimalist. Us old guys would have preferred something a bit more homely and livedin, but it didn't really spoil the experience. The rooms are spacious, there were very good games and hot tub facilities and a well equipped kitchen. The location is out in the sticks, so you need to accept that driving will be a part of your stay. Holcombe is handy however for both Wells and Bath where we enjoyed some wonderful days out. The location is also good for visiting Longleat and some excellent nearby food pubs. The Oakhill Inn about 3 miles away was excellent and to be recommended.

Our stay at the Old School Rooms was everything we could have wished for . The property is gorgeous and has everything to make your stay as comfortable as possible . We were so pleased we chose this property and it did exactly as it says on the tin so to speak. I would thoroughly recommend it.
Rachel

Vanessa

Galina
Beautiful property with everything you need! ! Hot tub is fabtastic, and game room is brilliant.
The house was beautiful and spotless. Everything we could want was available and the hot tub and pool table were a big hit with the family.
Christine
Property was immaculate. Everything we could have ever needed was supplied. It was perfect for friends catching up, would definitely recommend this property.
Amanda
Lovely property, high standard of cleanliness. Our only gripe would be that we couldn't get in until 4pm 3pm would have made a big difference and had to be out by 10am. The village was lovely, great pub and the Kitchen was a fabulous place to eat.
The perfect getaway for a 50th birthday. The cottage was beautiful, spacious and extremely well equipped. The hot tub was lovely! There is a gastro pub 5 minutes walk away and a brilliant farm shop, cafe and bar the other end of the village. We will return. Can't recommend enough!
Christina
Fabulous property. We really enjoyed our stay. Beds very comfortable. Loved the jacuzzi and table football. Very peaceful setting in a beautiful party of the country. Lovely and clean and was a nice surprise to find a bottle of prosecco in the fridge. We will definitely be rebooting. Highly recommend.
Hannah
What a fabulous holiday home! Wish I could live here, had everything we needed and more. So fantastic! Thanks for a brilliant stay. X

Visited July, 4 adults, 2 teens and 2 young children. Excellent property so well equippedlots of things for kids to dohot run, pool table, Xbox, lots of board games which we enjoyed playing as a family every evening. It was lovely having things like a coffee machine and lots of pods. It looks better than the pictures, so well presented and lovely touch of the bottle of Prosecco in fridge of which there are 2 fridge freezers so was great for a large family stay. Location also great for trips to Longleat, Wookey hole and Bath. Would definitely recommend and return if visiting that area again.
Great place and location. Had everything we needed, it was a bonus to have the games room for us over 60s to relive our youth.
Thank you so much we had a wonderful stay at the old schoolrooms and found the property to be absolutely perfect for our young children. The space was well thought out, we had everything we could have needed and it was spotlessly clean. We found the touches such as hot tub towels and Prosecco to be so thoughtful and made it a really special stay. We would certainly recommended this property and would love to return, a weekend did not feel like long enough!
The property was very clean with all the creature comforts and more besides. My only recommendation would be for black out blinds in the bedrooms and maybe a tumble dryer, but these are only very minor things and in no way detracted from the property. The village was beautiful as were most of the surrounding villages as well. We had a great time and the adults made great use of the pool table whilst the children loved all of the games. We would definitely recommend this property. Cant comment on the owners as we had no reason to contact them but all instructions were very clear and easy to follow.
Cannot recommend this place enough! ! Myself, partner, parents, sister & brother in law stopped here for my 30th birthday. 6 people and not one of us could find fault! The house is so well kitted out, there is everything you could possibly need! The downstairs space is incredible from the kitchen and dining room, games area, lounges and the outside not to mention the hot tub!! We actually spent and entire day at the house because it was such a nice space to relax in and just chill something we rarely do when away. We used Welton Cabs 01761 417600 for a trip into bath on my actually birthday we prebooked this the day before and they were reasonably priced, reliable and friendly. We also used the park and ride to go into Bath which was also extremely accessible from the properly. The house was also immaculately clean and peaceful! Thank you so much for such a fantastic stay!
Pauline
The house had been refurubished to a very high standard. It was very comfortable and every thing worked. The only thing that was missing was a cafietiere.
Immaculate, spacious well appointed property. Well equipped kitchen and comfortable living area and bedrooms. The games room, hot tub and garden appealed to all ages so well suited for families. Parking space for 3 cars. Would certainly recommend this property.
Christina
What a fantastic holiday property. Beautiful home, clean, comfortable and well kitted out. The Games room and Hot Tub were such lovely additions. The house is in a great location for great days out. We managed Bath, wookey hole, Stonehenge and Cheddar Gorge. Would highly recommend!
Yvonne
Our stay at The Old Schoolrooms was perfect, beautiful accommodation and well equipped, really enjoyed the air hockey unfortunately didn't get time to use the hottub, thank you for sharing your lovely cottage.
Rachel
Great property, comfortable, clean and well equipped. The only thing our group commented was that the lounge could do with a few lamps to make it cosier as the overhead lighting is bright. Great comfy sofas. Loved the air hockey and hot tub. Thanks
Claire
This is a lovely, spacious property. It was the cleanest I have stayed in and very well maintained and equipped. The photos don't really do it justice. There is so much space. The hot tub is a lovely addition. A lovely village with friendly neighbours.
Andrew
We had a lovely break and enjoyed our stay. The games room worked well with teenagers in tow.
Carolyn
Great stay in this very large comfy house. Close to lots of things to do in the area within a half hours drive or so. Kitchen well stocked with pans and plates and utensils. Would book again
Christopher
Couldn't fault the property, it was everything we needed and more. Would highly recommend.
