We had a fantastic stay at this lovely cottage. It had everything we needed, plus some thoughtful touches like the separate dog poo bin which was a lifesaver. The location was perfect for exploring Pembrokeshire coastand the hot tub was just what we needed after long walks. The garden was cosy and ideal for relaxing outside. We also appreciated the fluffy towels for both the bathroom and the hot tub, plus the welcome treats. Only minor issue was the noise from the main road, which meant keeping the bedroom window shut. Still, we'd definitely come back!

The main attractions are the Zoo, Farm and Petting Barn and there is also a huge Adventure Play Area and a small funfair with traditional rides. Merlin Hill Centre is a working dairy farm located deep in the Carmarthenshire countryside. Although not a petting farm the farm is still very family friendly with plenty of fun activities to keep children happy. The farm has a good sized play area and plenty of picnic tables as well as a Farmyard Heritage Centre where visitors can learn all about Welsh farm life and about the mystical Legend of Merlin. Get there early if you want to watch the cows being milked!

The Dinosaur Park is located in Tenby and makes the perfect family day out. Activities on offer include fossil hunting, Dino Crafts, Pat a Pet and the treasure hunt. For both toddlers and older kids there's an indoor adventure playground, ideal when the weather is not on your side. The high-tec activity centre is always popular with interactive fun and education. National Botanic Garden of Wales - SA32 8HN

When the weather is nice this attraction is perfect as you can wander around and admire the superb range of exotic trees and shrubs. They look different at different times of the year but one of the most popular times to see them is in Autumn. With various events throughout the year such as Apple Weekend there is always something new to experience. You can watch a 90 second film about this attraction on their website which is excellent.

Pembroke Castle - SA71 4LA

Pembroke Castle is thought to be the birthplace of the Tudor dynasty and is an excellent choice for a family day trip. The castle one of the areas most iconic landmarks and features an amazing 75ft high Great Tower! Visitors can also take a tour of the Norman Hall and the Exhibition Rooms where the displays change regularly. There is also a Picnic area and plenty of open space for children to run around in the grounds and gardens. The site also has a cafe and a gift shop.

Dinefwr Park and Castle - SA19 6RT

Dinefwr Park and Castle is the perfect place to come if you like the great outdoors. These stunning ruins are one of the areas most iconic landmarks and are surrounded by breathtaking scenery and wildlife of all descriptions. There is also a 17th century mansion to explore with grand rooms and wonderful exhibits of paintings and tapestries. The gardens feature amazing floral displays and there is also a delightful Tea Room. Children can let of steam on the adventure playground.
