Spend a fun-filled day navigating the mazes and racing go-karts at Southwold Maize Maze, and in the evening, come home to host a BBQ feast in the cottage's pretty garden. Park your car in the private parking area (there’s room for six cars) and head to this impressive farmhouse-style cottage, which features characterful exposed beams, lofty ceilings and original flooring.

Step inside the entrance lobby and you’ll find a pool table – a playful hint at the fun you will have in this well-appointed property. Choose from the two beautifully designed lounges, both of which feature crackling wood burners.

Alternatively, soak up some classic British seaside fun at Southwold Beach (4 miles) – stroll along the sandy shore, check out the beach huts, and savour fish and chips on Southwold Pier.
