Arkwrights Manor Reviews

Emma
Really enjoyed the stay, it was peaceful and perfect for us.
Emma
Really enjoyed our stay! The house is lovely with a fantastic location, just a short walk to the train station. Bedrooms were comfy, though one outside with an en-suite. Pity there’s no second toilet inside.
Alex
Really enjoyed staying here, perfect spot for relaxing vibes.
Alex
The house was charmingand its location is perfect for walks and exploring. Only downside was just one bathroom for six adults, which made things a bit tricky, but overall, we really enjoyed it!
Emma
We had a fantastic stay at this cottage! It’s perfect for families and pets, with plenty of space and a really nice hot tub that was spotless. The kitchen is well-stockedand the dining area is great for game nights. The refurbishments are top-notchand the beds are comfy. Honestly, we’d love to come back someday!
Martin
Really enjoyed our stay! The location was spot on and the owner was super helpful when issues arose.
Grace
We had a lovely stay at this place! The house was spotless and really well finished, with a kitchen stocked with everything we needed. The bedrooms were spacious and comfy, though the downstairs area felt a bit snug with five big dogs, but that’s understandable. The fenced patio was a real bonus-it meant we could let the dogs out freely without constant leads. The main road's proximity was noticeable, but it was as expected from the info provided. Overall, a great spot in a lovely area with plenty to explore!

We had a really relaxing stay in this charming house, perfect for unwinding. The hot tub was a lovely bonus! Plus, there are some great pubs and places to eat just a short walk away. We even enjoyed a river cruise nearby-definitely recommend for a peaceful getaway.
Emma
We really enjoyed our stay here! The location is spot on, just a short stroll to local shops and pubsand only three miles to Sainsbury's in Matlock. The house was beautifully decorated and spotless, plus the kitchen was fully stocked - perfect for cooking. The patio was a real highlight, especially since our small dog loved running around safely. Only thing was, there’s no wardrobe space in the annex, but overall, a lovely place!
Alex
Lovely place, cosy vibe, well-equipped kitchen.
Emma
We had a lovely stay! The house is stunning, especially the kitchen - really well equipped. The annex was perfect for our son and his tiny dachshundand parking was no trouble at all with space for six cars. Loved how central it was, close to the canal and Black Rocks walks. The Boat pub nearby is worth a visit for a friendly vibe and good food. The house’s thick walls kept out the busy road noise, so it was really peaceful overall.
Emily
Honestly, our stay was a bit of a letdown. The hot tub was quite dirty when we arrived, with scummy water on top, which was disappointing. There was only one toilet roll per bathroom for eight of us-kind of annoying. The seating was limited too; only three stools in the kitchen, so we mostly had to sit at the dining table. Plus, the fridge had been turned offand we weren’t told, so a lot of our food went off before we realised. Not the best experience, unfortunately.
James
This place was really lovely - super comfy and well kitted out. The hot tub was massive, which was a bonus! Perfect for exploring the nearby walks and enjoying the stunning views. We’d return in a heartbeat!
Emma
The cottage was lovely, very well equipped and in a perfect spot for dog walks. Our dogs loved it!
Emma
The house was really cosy and inviting, with a great kitchen and that relaxing hot tub. Perfect for unwinding and taking our dog for strolls!
Emma
We loved the house’s modern decor and how well stocked it was. The hot tub was a real treat after long days exploring. Being close to the trail and Cromford Mills made everything so easy. The secure courtyard was perfect for the dogs and kids, just wish there was more storage.
Emma
We had a lovely stay in Cromford, the house is really nice and the parking was great for our group. The kitchen was well stocked, which was helpful. The only thing is, since it’s advertised for 8 people, everyone mainly sits in the dining room because there’s not much seating elsewhere. Also, hanging space was a bit lacking with only one wardrobe shared between three bedrooms. Still, overall a nice place!
Emma
We really enjoyed our stay here! The house is lovely with beautiful furnishings and a well-equipped kitchen and bathroom. The hot tub was a highlight. Location’s great for exploring, though it can be a bit noisy near the A6. The enclosed courtyard was perfect for the dogs, but we couldn’t leave them alone outside on the grass. Still, we had a fantastic time and would definitely recommend it!
Emma
The place is perfect for dog walks right from the doorstep through beautiful woods, which we loved! The bathrooms and kitchen are lovely, though the inside felt a bit dark. Cromford is a gemand the Dales are fantastic to explore. A couple of hiccups when we arrived, but they were sorted quickly.
Emma
Lovely place with top-notch decor and comfy beds, perfect spot to explore Derbyshire! Highly recommended.
