Woodland View 31 – The Hawthorns is a delightful holiday lodge tucked away in the heart of Chudleigh, Devon. With private parking and room for two four-legged companions to tag along, this family-friendly spot makes a fine base for those in search of peace, fresh air, and a bit of countryside charm.

Set all on one level, the lodge welcomes you into a bright open-plan space where you can put your feet up in the sitting area, catch a film on the TV with SKY and DVD player, and enjoy the gentle glow of the electric fire. The kitchen comes fully kitted out for whipping up your favourite meals, which you can tuck into together around the dining table.

Outside, the enclosed decking invites you to unwind with a book or sink into the hot tub and let the day’s adventures melt away. The sleeping quarters consist of three well-presented bedrooms: a king-size with a private en-suite, a twin room, and a bunk room, providing flexible sleeping arrangements for all party configurations.

A family bathroom serves the remaining bedrooms. From your serene haven at Woodland View 31 - The Hawthorns, step out and explore the magical world of the Babbacombe Model Village and Gardens, offering a miniature paradise for all ages.

Head towards the coastline and experience the traditional seaside fun at Teignmouth Grand Pier. Spend a few idyllic hours at Becky Falls Ancient Woodland Park, where you can stow away your gadgets and explore the stunning woodland scenery, waterfalls and wildlife up close.

Let your little ones unleash their energy at the Teignmouth Play Park, or perhaps take them for an exhilarating day out to Go Ape Haldon, where treetop adventures await. For a more relaxed day, take a leisurely stroll through the lush lawns of Courtenay Park, a perfect spot for a picnic.

Hedgehog Hospital at Prickly Ball Farm - EX20 3TA

If you are looking for a fun family day out with a difference then a visit to the Hedgehog Hospital is a great choice. While visiting the hospital children can learn about these shy wild animals and the dangers they face in the wild as well as how we can help them. The farm is a halfway house for sick hedgehogs and children can meet some of the animals that are almost ready to go back to the wild. The farm also has a gift shop, a coffee shop and a wildlife garden as well as a pet's area with Rabbits and Guinea Pigs.

River Dart Country Park has over 90 acres of woods offering stunning scenic walks, beautiful lakes and open parkland. The park also has a good range of facilities for children including Jungle Ropes, Climbing Frames, Cargo Nets and a wooden Pirate Ship.
