Loved our stay, lodge is cosy and the owners thought of everything you could possibly want or need to make the stay. Would love to come back again

I cant fault the property at all and everything that you needed to know was there for you to see in a folder. I will definitely be visiting again
Lovely comfortable & warm lodge with far reaching views over Skiddaw and wonderfully relaxing hot tub over looking fields. Lovely position near to great places we wanted to visit to create lovely lasting memories. Thoughtful hosts leaving a great welcome pack along with local leaflets and a very kind touch of leaving a bottle of wine and chocolates out for our arrival. All in all a great weeks stay and we hope to return and would recommend for anyone wanting to visit the North Lakes.

The property offers amazing views, the pictures dont do it justice, beautiful sunrises and its a corner plot so very peaceful and quiet, in fact the whole site is very peaceful and quiet. Comfortable sofas and beds. Both showers powerful and plenty of hot water. The lodge was nice and warm despite the cold weather. The check in was very convenient.

Great stay! Excellent location with amazing view and the Lodge was perfectly clean and tidy. Included lovely touches of wine, chocolates and dog treats. 1010!!
Lovely property in a great location. Hot tub is excellent
Lovely stay, liked that property was in the corner so more private and secluded. Hot tub was fab. Wine and chocolates were a lovely touch thank you. Bed comfy so good nights sleep. Had everything you would need and more.

The property owner was great they did everything to make our holiday great and ... The property owner was great they did everything to make our holiday great and so very helpful we had a great holiday thank you
Amazing lodge! Hot tub was fantastic and the views are incredible. Lodge tucked away nicely out of the way. Has everything you'd need. Owners left some bubbly and chocs which was so nice. Thank you! The only suggestion I would give would be to have some plastic flutes or wine glasses for use around the hottub but this isn't essential. Maybe a lighting outdoors as the lights around the decking are very dim. Our stay was absolutely perfect and I couldn't rate this lodge and the owners enough! We would certainly stay here again!

This was a fantastic break over new year, we wished we could of stayed longer, the hot tub and views of Skiddaw was a lovely bonus and the sheep in field were lovely to see every day, thank you for the Christmas gifts in the santa sack,
Relaxing, clean and spacious. Lovely views of the sheep in the fields, mountains, and the stars whilst sat on the decking or relaxing hottub. Quiet area and hosts were very friendly and gave all information needed. Will definetly be staying again.

Absolutely beautiful place to call home for a week with a stunning view and picturesque scenery. Clean tidy and comfortable. And the hot tub was an added bonus after an adventurous day. We would highly recommend this place.

We loved the location of the lodge it is in a very private and quiet part of the site. The hot tub was lovely and we enjoyed the wine and chocolates. The lodge itself is very comfortable and spacious for the two of us. There were a couple of minor things that would make the stay perfect. We needed a wooden spoon and some serving spoons while cooking. Also, a dustpan and brush and some cleaning products would be great. Instructions would be helpful, especially for where to put rubbish and recycling as there do not seem to be any communal bins on the site. We really enjoyed our stay and would recommend this lodge to friends and family. Thank you.
This lodge had the best view of the site, straight across to the mountains in the distance with sheep and rabbits in the opposite field. The hot tub was ready for our arrival which was a bonus. Communication with the owners was good for things that cropped up. No issues with parking. The lodge had a good level of items. Instructions for departure were clear from the owners.

Absolutely beautiful location, beautiful lodge all the facilities you need.
A truly wonderful place to stay. We stayed for our ten year anniversary and it was so relaxing and idillic. The stunning flowers and champagne welcome package were an addition delightful to arrive to. The outstanding owners ensured they answered every query question without hesitation. Plus the relaxtion of the hot tub whilst taking in the breathtaking views, what more could you ask for!

Lake District Wildlife Park - CA12 4RD
about 4 Miles
We love this day out in Cumbria where you're encouraged to "take a fresh look".  Some of the amazing animals you will get to see include the only Canadian Lynx in the UK and you will have the opportunity to help their Lynx Conservation Project.  The Asian Fishing Cat is also well worth a look - these cats are known for diving under the water and catching fish!  Other activities include fantastic flying displays and play areas for the little ones...
Ullswater Steamers - CA11 0US
about 18 Miles
This is an award winning Lake District attraction and they have been operating cruisers on Lake Ullswater for over 150 years.  There is no better way to explore the lakes than on water and you could even combine a cruise with a spectacular walk.  For great days out in this region then this attraction is highly recommended and will appeal to couples as well as families.  Corporate groups are also well catered for.
Tullie House Museum & Art Gallery - CA3 8TP
about 18 Miles
This is a museum and art gallery in one and will suit those looking for an educational and cultural day out.  You can explore the fantastic art collection including Fine Art, Decorative Art and Textiles.  If you love nature then this aspect of Tullie House will appeal. The museum holds large and important collections of zoological, botanical and geological material. And for lovers of history there is plenty to wet your appetite here. Tullie House collects a wide range of historic materials including objects, ephemera (printed material), photographs and associated information files.  We think this museum and art gallery are excellent value for money as well.
Rydal Mount & Gardens - LA22 9LU
about 22 Miles
Rydal Mount & Gardens are wonderfully situated between Lake Windermere and Rydal Water offering breathtaking scenery. The home of William Wordsworth from 1813 - 1850 the grand home is now lived in by the poets descendents but parts of the house and grounds are open to the public. Why not take a guided tour and see the rooms where many of the famous poems were written. The gardens are beautiful at all times of the year but in the summer offer a spectacular display of colour. There is also a gallery and a tearoom. Discounts are available for group bookings.
Mabie Farm Park - DG2 8EZ
about 24 Miles
Mabie Farm Park is a firm favourite. Ideal for families with younger children ,this family oriented farm park has lots of animals to meet and also offers Donkey Rides, Paddle Boats and Slides as well as Trampolines and Bouncy Castles. Kids can run around on the Soft Play Area while mum and dad relax in the Tea Room. There is also a Farm Shop onsite selling toys, gifts and fresh local produce including cakes and jams. Seasonal activities can also be enjoyed including a spookly tea and walk on Haloween. The Farm closes for the winter on October 31st.
Castle Douglas - DG7 1TJ
about 29 Miles
We also recommend a visit to Castle Douglas and the Treasure Hunt Treasure Trails. These treasure hunts are great fun for the whole family and are an entertaining way to explore a new town or village. Children will enjoy solving the clues whilst learning about the history of the area. The walking trail is suitable for wheelchair users and those with pushchairs so no one is left out of the fun.
