This charming coastal bolthole enjoys a prime position in the heart of the Lancashire town of Morecambe. It’s a pet-friendly property that welcomes four guests and is perfect for small families and couples seeking a traditional seaside getaway.
You’ll be just 400 metres from the sandy beach, which extends for 5 miles along the coastline, and within easy reach of the town’s fine array of cafes, pubs, fish and chip shops, and ice cream parlours. Enjoy relaxing strolls along the promenade, taking in the spectacular views of the southern fells of the Lake District, or spend the afternoon on the beach building sandcastles and sharing picnics.
Just outside the town is Happy Mount Park which makes a great family day out, with its splash park, zip wires, and miniature train. The ancient city of Lancaster is 4.5 miles away and is a must for history enthusiasts, thanks to its fascinating medieval castle and beautiful Georgian architecture.
Those looking to escape the hustle and bustle of everyday life can spend a tranquil day exploring the open moorland and quaint villages of the Forest of Bowland, 7 miles away. The cottage has been beautifully styled, with contemporary furniture, seaside-themed accessories, and a collection of home comforts to make your stay as relaxed as possible.
After a day of adventure, return to your coastal retreat and unwind in the inviting lounge. This bright and airy space features comfortable sofas to stretch out on and has a SkyTV for catching up on all your favourite programmes.
From here, move through to the kitchen/diner, which has been carefully configured to make maximum use of the space. The kitchen area has everything needed for a self-catering holiday, and there’s a wooden table with bench seating for sharing mealtimes as a group.
This is an amazing Cumbria attraction well known locally as well as nationally for how close you can get to the animals. Described as the most interactive animal park in Europe it's well worth a visit if you are staying in the area. Open from April to end October some of the highlights are the tigers, penguins, bears, hippos and rhinos. At 2pm during certain seasons it's feeding time so don't forget to plan your day around this so you can watch the animals enjoying their feed. Look out for seasonal events such as Halloween Zoo Boo (free entry for kids in fancy dress) and The Magic of Christmas.
