10 Stonerush Valley Reviews

Had a lovely stay at 10 Stonerush valley. Lodge was lovely. However, one thing that let the lodge down was the blinds at the windows. Nearly all were broken leaving huge gaps with no privacy, especially in the bedrooms and bathrooms were privacy is needed more!
Wonderful location, amazing accommodation. All the features you would expect for a quality stay. Sitting on the veranda, surrounded by trees, listening to the water flowing in the river and the sounds of birds singing in the trees was just perfection. Within 15 minutes, you are walking around the beautiful harbour town of Looe. Everything I could ask for in holiday.

We had an absolutely fantastic weekend at 10 Stonerush Valley and we are already thinking about returning. Being Cornish locals, we wanted a local staycation and Stonerush Lake certainly delivered. The location was absolutely beautiful with lots of greenery, lakes, and wildlife. The accommodation was beautiful, cosy, and warm. We had everything we needed for a relaxing weekend away. The property was very clean. Each room let a lot of light in and was very secluded, with beautiful views of the valley and the surrounding trees. The hot tub area was private from others' view and it felt so peaceful surrounded by trees and looking up at the stars. The beds were very comfy. The kitchen was wellequipped and in the lounge were smart tvs, puzzles, and books to keep you entertained. The bathrooms were lovely and specious. There was good shower pressure in the en suite and I enjoyed a bath in the main bathroom. There was plenty of storage space throughout the property. We weren't able to make use of the outdoor seating due to the weather but there was so much space to use. I do have some feedback not criticism to provide for future stays. There were only two dressing gowns despite there being four adults I imagine these lodges are usually booked for 2 adults and 2 children. A man appeared completely unannounced and did not knock to maintain the hot tub which startled us and we could have been undressed. An umbrella for hot tub would be a good addition as we refrained from using it when it was raining. There was also a lack of outdoor lighting in this area in the evening which meant we could not read our books in the hot tub. There was not much toilet roll and we ran out quickly. Luckily, my mum had brought extra with her. There was no obvious space for recycling, so we ended up taking two bags full home. Having extra towels for hot tub use would great so as to not get towels dirty before showering. Again, this is all feedback and not a complaint.
The lodge was spotlessly clean, its position was lovely the stream at the back was nice to hear. From the get go we got the wow factor loved the place.
Definitely recommend and would love to come back! The cottage is stunning, completely surrounded by nature, very comfortable and private!
The lodge is lovely its exactly like the photos online, however there are little things that really effected our stay. No proper blinds in the bedroom there is a Sky light in the main bedroom and no blind with it we found ourselves waking up every day at 4am due to the bedroom just being so light, when being away I dont appreciate being awake when the sun rises. Cold hot tub hot tub states the temperature cant be changed there is no temperature gauge to change it on the hot tub anyway. In leaflets it stated it was 3538 degrees. It definitely isnt as soon as we got in we couldnt be in for longer than 5 minutes even tho it was 27 degrees outside it was just to cold. Mattress in main bedroom there is a big yellow stain on the main bedroom mattress it doesnt take a genius to work out what this is.. Dishwasher there is a dish washer but it smells of mould as soon as you open it I even put it on a spin with nothing in and still smelt so foul. I tried to report all of this on my stay but me and my partner had no signal to call, we even tried to find someone on site nobody would help we went to the bar and we was told we need to call but how can you call if theres no signal. There isnt a reception or anything we saw no staff walking round the whole time. We paid 1053 to stay here and it definitely isnt up to the standard to warrant paying over 1k! Im so disappointed as these things could have been sorted but unfortunately the upkeep of the lodge isnt maintained.

We had a great time. The lodge was perfect for our first family getaway with a 3 month old with parking right outside and plenty of space indoor and outdoor. Facilities and cleanliness were spot on. The only negative we had was that the velux window in the main bedroom didn't have blinds and so during the heatwave in June meant the bedroom was very light.

We had a lovely time at 10 stone rush valley it had everything we needed for a comfortable stay so clean and the hot tub was fab. The location of the site was great for days out and we had a lovely breakfast in the old mill restaurant we will definitely be back for more holidays

Lodge was well furnished and decorated. Everything was sparkling clean and lovely and modern. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We liked that the lodges were well spaced away from each other so gave good privacy and lovely outlooks. It would benefit from a towel hook by the shower door in the en suite to the main bedroom to grab your towel easily and a tray in the shower to place shampoosoapgel etc
This property was excellent, in a beautiful location, very quiet and exceptionally clean. The beds were lovely and comfortable and the hot tub was very relaxing. You could not see another lodge from the verandah and they were all spaced out around several lakes. The restaurant and bar were placed in the best location on the site and the rception staff were extremely helpful and friendly I will definately be returning.

Very peaceful and relaxing surroundings. Super clean and comfortable interior. Excellent communication from the site staff. Great bar and good food on site limited opening in winter. In a good area, lots of walks to be had and bay hopping. Would highly recommend.

Great holiday. Lodge and bedding clean. Will return. Just a few points to be rectified. Needs more knives forks spoons when four people occupying. Rad in twin room TRV not working. Both showers leaking and need servicing. Two gas rings not working correctly. Needs rubber mats for both bathrooms as very slippery in bath and shower. Hot tub suitable for two. The lodge is furnished well. Outside furniture comfortable. Steve

Four old friends had a fabulous time in our lodge which was very comfortable and clean it is located on a beautiful maintained site. The hot tub was very welcome after a day walking. We would certainly recommend and hope to be back soon.
We had a lovely stay and would come back again. It would be good to have somethings to do for children in the future, incase you want to have a chill day at the lakes. A wooden park or forest trail. But our kids and ourselves loved it.
Great place, location is quiet and relaxing. Central for lots of places around Devon and Cornwall. Beds really comfy and cabin has all modern amenities. Reception staff Sally was very helpful and welcoming. Great Holiday.
