Ty Cerrig Farmhouse is a lovingly converted 18th-century barn in Carmarthenshire, West Wales, sitting on the borders of Pembrokeshire. Original oak beams, stone walls and a vaulted ceiling in the master suite give this five-bedroom farmhouse real character. It sleeps 10 guests across spacious, well-appointed rooms with tasteful décor throughout.

The surrounding Carmarthenshire countryside rolls out in every direction. The historic coastal town of Laugharne home to Dylan Thomas's boathouse and a castle on the river Taf is just a short drive away.

Ty Cerrig Farmhouse is a lovingly converted 18th-century barn in Carmarthenshire, West Wales, sitting on the borders of Pembrokeshire. Original oak beams, stone walls and a vaulted ceiling in the master suite give this five-bedroom farmhouse real character.

It sleeps 10 guests across spacious, well-appointed rooms with tasteful décor throughout.

The surrounding Carmarthenshire countryside rolls out in every direction. The historic coastal town of Laugharne home to Dylan Thomas's boathouse and a castle on the river Taf is just a short drive away.

Pembrey Country Park offers eight miles of golden sands at Cefn Sidan plus a toboggan run and dry ski slope.

Five bedrooms sleep 10: Bedroom 1 (kingsize, en-suite shower), Bedroom 2 (kingsize, en-suite shower), Bedroom 3 (twin), Bedroom 4 (kingsize, en-suite bath and shower, French doors to private balcony with views towards Laugharne) and Bedroom 5 (twin). Three bathrooms plus a separate ground-floor WC.

Laugharne Castle (3 miles), Pembrey Country Park (12 miles), Kidwelly Castle (8 miles) and Folly Farm Adventure Park (18 miles) are all within easy reach.

Although not a petting farm the farm is still very family friendly with plenty of fun activities to keep children happy. The farm has a good sized play area and plenty of picnic tables as well as a Farmyard Heritage Centre where visitors can learn all about Welsh farm life and about the mystical Legend of Merlin. Get there early if you want to watch the cows being milked!
