Venture to Framlingham Castle for soaring views and storied ramparts (8.5 miles), enjoy a ride on the Mid-Suffolk Light Railway (9.5 miles), or browse family attractions and boutiques at Stonham Barns Shopping Village (11 miles). For sandy strolls and sea air, the Suffolk coast is within 25 miles.

Inside, the open-plan living space brings everyone together. Settle on the sofas for film nights with a Smart TV and DVD, warmed by a coal-effect electric fire.

The dining area invites lingering meals, while the fitted kitchen makes holiday cooking easy, with thoughtful extras such as tea towels and dishwasher tablets provided, plus a coffee machine for slow mornings. A private sauna adds a soothing treat after a day out.

This amazing owl sanctuary located in the Stowmarket area of Suffolk should be high on your list of places to visit in the area. The attraction is also a registered charity and carries out important work in the care & rehabilitation of owls from the region. The sanctuary also raises awareness of owl conservation throughout the UK. Between April and the end of September there are two superb flying displays each day so you should try and make your visit coincide with one of these displays if you can.

The Africa themed park is very unique and gives visitors the chance to see some amazing creatures in a habitat which is as close to nature as possible. The park can be explored by car and on foot and Hyenas and Giraffes are just some of the animals you will encounter as you make your way around the park. Watch out for the lightning fast Cheetahs and keep your eyes peeled to spot the more reclusive creatures. During a day at Africa Alive there will be plenty of shows and educational talks taking place and if the weather turns then the indoor Adventure Play Ground comes in very handy. The site also has a well stocked Gift Shop and a Discovery Centre.

We love this attraction in Scoulton, Norfolk with a great collection of animals. Children and adults alike have the chance to get hands on with the animals in the special handling areas. On rainy days there is always the indoor play area for the little ones and when it's time for a bite to eat the cafe on the farm is open all day selling drinks and snacks. Hot food is available over lunch times.
