Enjoy countryside walks and cycling adventures from the front door, including access to Carrock Fell and a gentle circular route around Castle Carrock Reservoir (0.5 miles), before unwinding at the village pub (1.5 miles).

Nearby attractions include the landscapes and wildlife of RSPB Geltsdale (7 miles) and Talkin Tarn Country Park (2 miles), where visitors can try water sports, stroll beside the water, or relax in the tea room while watching the resident red squirrels. Hadrian’s Wall is just 2.5 miles away, while the charming town of Brampton (4 miles) offers a choice of shops and eateries.

Discover the castle, cathedral, museums, and galleries of Carlisle (11 miles), or head to the Lake District (27 miles) for more glorious scenery. This delightful cottage is full of country charm and has plenty of original features, including rugged wooden beams and deep-set windows.

The living space is open-plan and has a roaring wood burner at its heart, surrounded by comfortable seating. Settle in for the evening and enjoy some music on the sound system or a favourite film on the Smart TV.

When you start to feel hungry, the kitchen includes everything needed for cooking up holiday meals, which you can enjoy at the wooden table beside the window or alfresco on the patio. At the end of each day away, two restful bedrooms offer an excellent night’s sleep and feature TVs for lazy mornings in bed.
